I'm the same. I don't do well with small talk. I don't see a reason for it. It's just to cover up silence, and that's all. I would much rather talk about something interesting instead of the weather or what's up with me at the moment ('cause of course I never tell them anything important). As for th...

People tended to blame things on me. Like if there was an argument, I would become the scapegoat for everyone else's issues and I couldn't fight back because of my AS (I only know what to say long after it happens). People also treat me like I'm stupid. School was another story. I had the typical AS...

I'm the oldest child in my family, but my younger brother who is younger than me feels older and acts like he's older.

It's the same with my parents and people outside the family too. People treat me like a preteen when I'm 19 years old and somewhat of an adult.

Don't be ashamed for talking about yourself. The whole purpose of this site is to provide a way for Aspies to connect and get support for their issues.

I had a dream that made no sense a couple of weeks ago. I dreamed that gravity was something made up by the government to keep us from realizing our true potential, and that humans had been able to fly all along but we had to invent planes because the government repressed us. I woke up very, very co...

I have such a hard time getting drunk, and I don't enjoy it when I am, ha.

I don't know how people can consume so much drink. I mean, I drink a beer or two and I'm done, I'm not thirsty anymore.

Only issue I have is snoring. I use ear plugs. I'm lucky that nobody really snores in my house... ...unless I do and I just don't know it. If they did I would be out of luck though because earplugs give me sensory issues. They feel like worms crawling in my ears and it freaks me out.

Is it just me or is sleeping in the same room with other people exceptionally difficult? I mean, I can hear my brother smacking his lips on the other side of the room and I can hear my father's girlfriend tossing and turning in her sleep. The temperature in the room rises and I can smell everyone. M...

I used to but the teachers at school made me stop. Did you know that in Japan, a lot of women refer to themselves by their own name (instead of using 'she') in casual settings, like around people close to them or at home? Not at work or school though. It's considered very girlish by some people, too.

Today, I'm slow. I woke up feeling bored and lethargic and it never wore off. I can't bring myself to do anything important. My thoughts are slow and I can hardly understand myself. My bones kinda ache, like I've rolled down a hill or something. I don't see how I could function at all today. It's ta...
