I am not buying into anyone's narrative, you are projecting, but this Zionist narrative didn't come from the void, it's based on the Jewish religion (or at least a certain interpretation of it); and I don't think the religious people believe in those stories as "symbolic", they really beli...

My family knows I'm an atheist. They live in another country, so I haven't had to deal with it much. But I miss my family and have been thinking about moving closer to where they live. I do not believe that Allah sent revelation to the prophet Muhammed, and I don't see myself becoming convinced of ...

^Maybe to you. I love a lady with a smelly set of wheels. I once dated a woman with schizophrenia whose VW Beetle smelt like an ashtray. I didn't care. She was very nice to me. Sounds like a keeper. Sort of a sad story. I met her the Summer before I was to return to undergraduate school in another ...

I agree, dog ownership is a turn-off. :nerdy:

Now you've seriously antagonized TP. Better you than me.

What's your view on interracial couples? Me, I'm Black, and I like White women. I've liked White women ever since I was a kid.

This belongs in the Love & Dating forum but tbh it doesn't matter what anyone's view is.

Have you ever been in a serious relationship with a woman?

I can recall once in the late 70s hearing it said on the news that there was no major conflict happening anywhere in the world at that time. I suppose that may have been right before the USSR invaded Afghanistan? I think it was a very brief episode of unusual world peace.

My first girlfriend's name was King. Her ex-boyfriend was named Abbott. He left her for a girl named Pope.

This is perfectly true by the way.

Nothing changed much I say.

Judaism is a very tribal religion. The situation of Israelites in the first 5 books of the Bible seems to be of a tribe following a particular god and they come into conflict with other tribes following other gods. And both their god and the other gods are equally real, but the words of the Bible co...

It wasn't clear to me that the focus of this was squarely on China. Nowadays, we in American are predisposed to assume that if the topic of 1984 is raised in a discussion, it's intended as part of a commentary on the present-day government here, a government over which China has very little obvious ...

Believing oneself neurodivergent could imply that one has an invisible disability and therefore less should be expected of one. Of course, maybe it's true. Perhaps all the chemicals in the environment and in our food have caused younger people to develop these conditions, or perhaps these things hav...

There were 2 sides in the Spanish Civil War. One deeply committed to tradition, religion, and enthusiastic acquiescence to authority (I won't call it Fascism per se). The other side was basically Marxist. That side didn't promote authoritarianism as part if its program. Was it in fact as authoritari...
