So i had to to talk with HR last Friday about the noise in the office. They told me no on my request to move my desk without even listening to my plan. And I was told they are already accommodating me and they just can't see how they can do anything else. I told them it was fine - my desperate need ...

Here is a test about 'compound emotions' (such as angry sadness). http://www.theguardian.com/science/shortcuts/quiz/2014/apr/01/compound-emotions-ohio-state-university-quiz I guess those would be particularly difficult for someone to recognize if they're not good at reading faces in general. It's v...

Sure, I can read them! i just have expression dyslexia!! LOL ! !! AKA - I am usually very wrong about what I think a person is expressing. I tend to laugh thinking someone is making a joke when they are mad at me. Oh well. I also tend to think someone is mad if they are smiling at me or silently lis...

I am not sure.... I have been told by others that I handle it very well. But they do not see the head banging that happens after the event. I tend to have serious rage at certain triggers and it feels like I am going ballistic with rage... but after the event and when I am feeling so horrid about it...

Sometimes I just have to allow those negative emotions to just be there. I think of them like I do unwelcome company. I did not invite them over, and I tend to avoid conflict so much that I would never toss them out, so I suffer through them until they leave. I try to not talk to them or encourage t...

Urrr.... I hate yes or no demands of questions which are anything but that simple. 1) I am only afraid of dentists if they are holding a weapon to me or others around me. They do not even have to be in their coat or office to cause this effect! 2) The act of ANYONE getting near my body triggers a hi...

I have both a great job and a degree. But I am not a super genius or a socialite. My strength has been in just trying to be the best I can be and treating others with kindness (even when I want to smack them upside their head for saying and doing illogical things). When I can help out on something i...

It is very difficult for me to connect with others emotionally. Fear is my biggest problem. Also it just takes so much energy to interact with others that I am exhausted just thinking about it. My one big emotionally social(ish) interaction a week is with my therapist and even that just makes me tir...

I agree with this. I've worked in some customer facing roles that I've loved, but it's been about scripting. When the customers are predictable and you only have a limited number of things to say, it's actually very easy and enjoyable. I totally agree! I loved doing my job in IT because the convers...

You are very smart for feeling this out before you enter the field. I wish I would have known about my options. I ended up just going with what life brought me and ended up where I am now. If I had it to do over again and had access to data the way people do today I certainly would have ended up in ...
