So you have a bad experience with a few 'neurodiversity' advocates, and then insist all neurodiversity advocates are exactly like them even when a neurodiversity advocate is talking to you and explicitly disagreeing with them? Refer back to the questions posed. I'm answering those. These were my ex...

I don't think there will be all autistic place to live and I have no desire to be in one. If I change my mind about this, that would mean the Autistic rights and Neurodiversity movements have completely failed and autistics find themselves in a similar position to Jews in Nazi Germany in the 1930's...

If that's the case then you can't really complain if an autistic guy lies on an application form and donates to a sperm bank. Ohhhhh YES I can! I'm a strong believer in informed consent. You don't know that though, and the clients don't get an opportunity to choose because of an assumption on...

So what is your argument against eugenics in general? Eugenics is done with the goal of changing the makeup of humans. When I selected my mate, I selected him because he had traits I found pleasing. But that's not eugenics because I didn't select him in order to make the whole world have his traits...

As I said before I am anti IVF anyway, purely on the overpopulation front and it does appear to have a selfish origin to `fulfil` the persons need for a life with their own biological child. Adopt a child, there are loads out there who need a family what a fantastic and generous act to give to a ch...

Neurodiversity advocates don't say we shouldn't help nonverbal people learn to communicate. In fact, I've heard the exact opposite many, many times. Why is it assumed that 'not wanting a cure' means 'not wanting to help people function better'? Those are completely separate things! You don't need t...

I'm neither a SJW nor a eugenics supporter. And don't you be all up in my face belittling me jus' becos. It is an enormous investment to raise a child, not merely an investment of money but emotional capital. You want your child to have the best chances possible, and you don't want your job to be a...

But that's rare enough that there is not a demand for autistic sperm I'm pretty sure lots of women would love to have a child from Bill Gates (if it was possible, of course). Sure because he's rich and famous for being a genius. How many people with Aspergers do you know who are like Bill Gates? He...

First of all, I didn't say it was "fair". It's totally not fair to autistic men who want to populate the earth with their offspring but have no responsibility. So unfair. Completely unfair. Cry me a river. But. It does not matter if it's fair to autistic men or not. The sperm bank is tryin...

Here's how this works: 1. Women have the right to be aware of who they're reproducing with. 2. Sperm banks must ask for info about the man in order to provide the info to the woman so she can be informed. 3. Sperm banks cost money to operate. 4. In order to maximize efficiency, sperm banks must choo...

I wish I had more to say. My son is only 8 now, but he's going to be HUGE (his dad is 6'6) and so I'm very concerned about how these types of excited states could be dangerous to himself or others if he doesn't figure out how to self-soothe more effectively. My son's father is taller than yours… my...

I think neurodiversity is one of those things that is great in principle but really f*****g terrible in practise. My experience with it with regards to my kids is that the movement does not include my kids at all, which is a part of the problem here. Mine are lower functioning. The movement excludes...

Sorry. (hugs) This is kind of morbid but the way I see it is we are all just going to die and rot eventually anyway so it doesn't really matter. Obviously I'd like to make their lives as good as I can make them, but after I die, if their lives suck, then their lives suck…and then they'll die like ev...

Yes thank you Quiver Whiskers! Very insightful and helpful! I'm going to get an exercise ball. We do have a hard time getting him to do things. It's hard enough when he's calm. When he's not, it's hopeless. The best we've found is to put things out in obvious places for him to find and hope he uses ...

If he is consistent about being good to his brother, and brother is "off limits" even when he is feeling really aggressive, then that tells me that he can think, he can plan and he absolutely knows what he's doing. If you had written that he blindly attacks people during an aggression epi...

ASDMommy-I am interested in the how does your engine run thing, thanks for mentioning that! He does have some self-control; he has never attacked his brother, which is astonishing because his bro does everything he hates. Nobody can touch him w/o him freaking out, but his bro can climb on him and hu...
