Only if you buy a gold-played monopoly game.

Why isn’t “monopoly” called “polymono”?

It seems as if many Austrian and German fathers weren’t especially affectionate towards their sons. Sort of a “macho” sort of thing.

Hitler was angry that Germany (and Austria) were “stabbed in the back” by the Versailles Treaty.

Nothing wrong with feminism.

Everything wrong with an ideology which considers all males to be potential rapists.

I always tell people who hate the US that they should take a ride on a Nigerian highway. About every 100 miles or so (less near cities), roadblocks are set up, and drivers must pay a bribe to proceed from the roadblock. Getting out of a Nigerian airport involves bribing multiple security-type people.

One only has to read accounts of people in Russian prison camps, going back at least to Dostoyevsky’s “Notes from Underground,” to discern what is meant by Russian repression.

“Darkness at Noon” is the account of a political prisoner during the Stalinist “purges,” which followed the Holodomor.

The basis of the US is not fascistic. It was, as the Founding Fathers themselves stated, an “experiment.” They were treading new ground in the late 18th century. They were seeking to expand republicanism beyond what occurred in city-sized places like Athens, Florence, and Venice. It is unfortunate ...

What you stated is the preferred interpretation of those who make use of the phrase.

The notions of “patterns” repeating themselves.

I wish more people would undertake a concerted, objective study of the inevitable results of repression.

We have to stop conceding that history will, inevitably, “repeat itself.”

I was severely autistic as a child. Not Aspergian.

One cannot tell that I was autistic on the basis of photographs of me.

We have to be prepared for the potential repressive, “fascistic” type situations. We are still a democracy with relative freedom….but there are forces which seek to overthrow this. We must be vigilant and aware of this potential. Otherwise, we will be swept and inundated by the forces of reactionari...
