Yes, SoCal is south california. And I'm supposed to start working soon. :( Grisha, thanks a million! Sounds like I'll be very near you. I have NLD so I have very bad visio-spatial impairment. If I rent a car, I'll get lost immediately with no way back. I'm fretting, what if the company expects me to...

I have to travel to the USA in a few days, to SoCal, and I'm very scared. Mostly, how do I go from place to place, say from the hotel to the office? Is it safe to take taxis? And the social subtext, how do I get along with them SoCal people, what should I take into account?

Any and all contribution comments will be welcome...

Your words did me a lot of good, Apple. Indeed, I was raised to not pay attention to my own pain and efforts. You reminded me that once a car almost ran me over when he was going reverse out of his garage and I passed with my bike, so seeing the car coming towards me quickly I dropped my bike trying...

Is it the chicken or the egg, though? Do you hold those values dear because you're like that, or are you like that because you hold them dear? That's why you have to always be like on your wedding day - wear a personality that suits from your boss to your great-grandmother to your closest friend. I find that one of the hardest things for me to do, because it combines both biggest problems I have: social + multi-attention. I'm bound to say ...
