I meant "ignoring bullying" more in the context where authority figures, or others in a position to do something about it, just sweep it under the rug. I am one who believes that, sometimes, the bullied should just ignore the insults of the bully. There are times when that gets rid of the...

Ignoring bullying----depending on your ability to do something about it----is "enabling bullying," and could even be a form of "bullying." The managers wouldn't do anything about the person I've mentioned (they were scared of him) so they ignored the bullying (from him). At one ...

One thing I learnt from getting my diagnosis and reading about behaviours was that whilst most of my co-workers would say I wasn't an unpleasent or aggressive person certain behaviours could have been mistakenly interpretted as close to bullying. I could be very demanding and controlling BUT only b...

99.9% of people would walk past 99.9% of "famous" people without even realising they are/were "famous".

Sounds as if this is a possibility: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ptosis_(eyelid) Thanks for posting that. I looked at it. I don't think it fits. My stepdaughter has suggested it could be due to glare. I do the same thing if it really sunny outside. I tend to wear a hat if I am out for a long time....

The only time I have been called out on P-A is when I held a door open for someone when they considered they were too far away. [I thought I was being considerate 8O ]. That said I do feel that some people at work thought I was P-A at times, and I probably was - at times . But that said (again) so a...

Are you in the UK. I don't think the funds are there in the UK for the full blown testing unless they are really needed. The US is probably different because of the way their health system works. Many of us seem to have to fill in a couple of questionaires, chat to a professional and have a relative...

Interoception is knowing something is wrong and then doing something (promptly) about it. I struggle with this quite often. For instance wearing the right thing for the temperature at that precise moment - so if the day starts cold and then gets warmer it would take me a lot longer than most people ...

..... the person who cleans the flat made a point of saying it keeps quite clean here. I told her if left to my own devices it wouldn't be. She said it probably would.... I am reading it that she means it doesn't get dusty. Some houses get very dusty. Some old houses get very very dusty. Her "...

I try not to tailgate, though sometimes it is hard if the traffic is very slow, or somebody suddenly slows up in front. Free flowing traffic I always leave a good distance. The key thing is to always leave a good gap in front of you and never go into a narrow space unless you've got somewhere to esc...

A lack of general knowledge doesn't mean you are narrow-minded.

Narrow-minded means something else entirely.

Being narrow-minded means being unwilling to consider new ideas or other people's opinions, which is what they are doing when objecting to you trying to explain the differing answers.

Was Wakeman on the keyboards at the Strawbs concert? Or had he left by then and joined Yes?

I always think of these kinds of people of sort of hyper-neurotypical. They are not normal NT's. Everything about them, all their NT traits, are exagerated and off the scale.

Learn from them how NOT to be.
