@Moog: You're not even a woman, what would you know about it? And your comments have no relevance to what I wrote. I'm not a woman, so what? That's no defense against feeling ugly and unloved. I can assure that I understand the OP's pain only too well. Moog, I can see that you mean well, I just don...

I've started writing many stories over the years and then not been able to finish (I just have a very short attention span). They are usually about people living in strange worlds--underground, another planet, or some other weird environment. I've also thought about writing a book where the main cha...

I have the same desires too. I don't know if there's a forum, but I would say work on it by yourself for a while, without input, until YOU really like it. Because if you like it, then chances are others will too. Then you can go ahead and submit it to all the scifi zines out there...

^^^ There was a Poirot episode where they were discussing Chagall in a gallery, and one woman goes "He is an exile... you can tell, his heart is still in Russia."

I would say no, he didn't mean to flirt. I've been accused of this type of behaviour many times. The important thing is, that just because someone really likes you, doesn't mean they want to have an exclusive relationship with you. Maybe they just enjoy your company, and feel free to be themselves....

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be that many people that have any idea as to what I'm dealing with here. I don't think many people could even comprehend what it's like to live if nobody ever likes you or wants to give you a chance. Exactly, it's hard enough to deal with in your non-working life...

All this stuff about 'inner beauty' may be well-meant, but bluerose definately has a point. Women who are ugly on the outside have a much, much harder time getting by than pretty or even average-looking females.
Especially in finding, yet alone keeping, employment.

Yes, always. That's probably why I lost yet another job recently; I shouted at my boss and that all these 'stupid' people were in my way when I was trying to finish my work, he hasn't called me back for more work. Oh well, you can't change the past... or the future. I think I've been rude my whole ...

I can definately relate to your experiences; I think many people on here can. I also thought I could never find real friends, but I did in just the last couple of years. There are lots of kind, friendly and open-minded people out there, don't give up!

I find I get cold feet if I sit around too much... I never have the problem if I'm active during the day. Therefore it seems like a circulation problem, but may be affected indirectly by AS if this condition causes you to lock yourself in your room for long periods of time.

A good percentage of my stuff is on my blog, but I thought I'd share something from there on here as well as part of this thread. My poems tend to be pretty long, but I picked a shorter piece called "Backwards". Feel free to comment. :) --------------------------------------------------------------...
