Some advocates are so delusional they seriously want autism removed from the DSM to spare their ego because they don`t want to be associated with a disability. They don`t understand that to unlock any help including support, care & financial welfare autism needs to remain officially a disabilit... |

Autism is simply a container of developmental disabilities caused by the brain not forming correctly. Some people have some symptoms like ID as a result of this others do not, just like some people with COVID have a cold some do not. Symptoms vary in severity also. That’s the easiest way to describe... |

These comments are usually made in ignorance of what autism is. They probably believe it’s some form of minor social awkwardness. I suppose some may use it as an excuse because they lack general confidence, they want others to give them some slack so automatically jump on the autism bandwagon for sy... |

 The only worry I have here would be a parents' petty reason to ever take any treatments; because it's 'expensive', reputated abroad, etc. Nevermind if there's poor quality control in abroad, let alone the mass ignorance here. If a parent chooses to gamble their child's life, out of love or ig... |

The things I can never have due to my Autism: - Good social skills - Friends - Romantic Relationships - Independent living - Steady job You high functioning autistics have no idea what it’s like to be at the lower end of the spectrum. Why should I try to improve myself if nothing is changing? Maybe... |

Solitude is associated with mental illness particularly depression so that’s why it gets a bad press.
Also it’s associated with mentally ill people doing bad things like the Unabomber in his cabin in the woods.
Not saying there is anything wrong with solitude it’s just the general public sentiment. |

I've honestly never been able to ride a two wheel bicycle properly. I was fine with training wheels until some mean girls at my school who also lived next door to me told everyone I still used them. My mother now says I could always get a three wheeled bicycle with an attached shopping cart. The ex... |

It seems ABA is a N American thing there’s not much ABA in the UK besides a handful of special schools that have started importing ABA as their unique selling point. It’s been positively reported in our media but I suspect the endless therapy is too expensive for the NHS which isn’t a factor in the... |

There’s a difference between self acceptance and not hating yourself and complete denial that you have a condition that impacts you negatively. Autistic people can swing from one extreme to the other. From self hatred to complete denial and rejection of common sense about what autism is. Both are ba... |

The elites at the top use all that blame Nazi , Russia , China Nonsense to distract you from their own incompetence or corruption. I’d be willing to bet the numbers of REAL Nazi’s in the US ( those who support hitlers racial / anti Jewish among others policies )to be tiny and irrelevant. There’s pro... |
