In what situations could "what" and "huh" replace "excuse me"? i kinda don't know
Regarding personal questions, i don't know what you mean, but i could not imagine a relationship with an autist without honesty and a good amount of personal questions.

For me it would be the reverse, i hate alcohol too, i'd like you to not drink. I wouldn't want to be with people socially forcing me to drink. (yes in germany you can legally already drink with 14 under conditions) Good ways/excuses to acceptably not drink would be asian flush, allergic to alchol, d...

Will the diagnosis be tied to something that the employer would know?
You don't have to let them know about the diagnosis.

Imo, not wanting to be who you are is suicidal, no matter how justified your problems may be.

I've seen documentaries about the negative sides of autism (in low amounts), but not about celebrities getting diagnosed, probably because i'm not remotely interested.
I assume most who didn't already get diagnosed earlier in life are in the higher functioning part.

Here in germany autism seems to be socially treated worse than in english countries. Barely any official benefits too. Being happy or satisfied with autism as an autist, Wanting to be autistic as a NT, Wanting a diagnosis for autism, Wanting a guide for who one is, Are different things. I would cons...

If you follow the broad range of things that people list here, i'd be wary if you don't notice or suspect any of those, because imo at that point a decent ratio are good at hiding those, or you don't do a good job at detecting them. Really interesting thread actually. Regarding parents, my parents a...

With how many NTs does this not occour for you? How was your experience with autists regarding that? For me there has been only 2 NTs who i knew for longer with whom it somewhat worked. With autists that problem occoured sometimes, but they seem to understand that problem and are ready to follow thr...

I am unemployed in a way society would accept it: student
I really tried to get work over holidays, but as with internships i really am bad at convincing people to take me so i assume i will have difficulty with that. I won't be able to live off disability benefits.

I tend to go really deep with friends, but won't really get physical from that. For me my natural feelings for girls which will trigger easly and can be annoying, liking somebody as a person and such love kinda relationship are distinct. Also my perception of most things seems to work differently. J...

What makes a sapient robot different from a human? Give me a systematic approach! If the thing that's making robots different from humans is empathy, what about all the socio and psychopaths for example? If we were to bio print a human, and control it with an AI computer, what would it be? If we wer...

I didn't, but even hits that do not hurt can still cause micro brain injuries that could build up to a problem over time.
