Side note: What are your opinions of the Stonewall Riot? The Stonewall Riot was very different not only from the Capitol riot, but also from the riots that have unfortunately accompanied many BLM protests. The Stonewall Riot involved fighting back against cops who were raiding a gay bar. Nothing mo...

No, "unsolicited ballots" were not sent out en masse, just applications for absentee ballots. Pure horses**t (or just ignorance)! It varied state-to-state. Here in Jersey, ALL registered voters were sent ballots in the mail, whether requested or not. Whether they would have physically gon...

I think ego plays a part in it thinking it is ok to test the limits on me because I have a disability. Perhaps so, alas. Another of the many, many reasons why we need a stronger autistic rights movement than we have now. (And why, therefore, we need to build a much better organized community than w...

More funding would enable cops to do proper investigations and gather better physical evidence, in lieu of their current over-reliance on (intrinsically unreliable) witness testimony and confessions. Currently, the main go-to strategy for investigating crimes is to pressure suspects into making (so...

It's fairly certain that whoever got the Qanon phenomenon up and running (that is Q, the supposed government insider) never believed in it themselves from the start. But none of you seem to be bothered about who that was or what their motivations were. You seem to be more interested in feeling supe...

How would more funding for police help with problems caused by officers who let their egos get in the way of making the right decision? More funding would enable cops to do proper investigations and gather better physical evidence, in lieu of their current over-reliance on (intrinsically unreliable...

While it will vary by locale a lot of woke things are going to become policy now. Whomever objects or argues for even moderate positions are going to have the debate basically closed because you and whatever you are arguing for WILL be associated with the MAGA’s and their Republican enablers. Argue...

I don't support what happened at the Capitol. HOWEVER, as you yourself pointed out, those people were morons. There's no way in hell their disruption would or could ever literally stop the federal government from proceeding or functioning indefinitely, nor lead to an overthrow of American governmen...

I wanted to add that hate speech is not protected under the first amendment either per the Supreme Court decisions. Actually, hate speech is protected as long as it doesn't veer into threats or incitement of violent criminal activity, or slander/libel against specific people. A "hate crime&quo...

It turns out that the Capitol Hill rioters' failure to get into the House and Senate chambers, before the representatives and senators escaped to a secure location, is due largely to the heroism of one black police officer, Eugene Goodman: - Black officer seen risking his life to lead Capitol mob aw...

Online harassment in general, of all sorts of people, is a big problem these days.

Also, a lot of people (at least here in the U.S.A.) hate doctors for reasons that aren't really the doctors' fault but a consequence of the way the medical system is organized here in the U.S.A.

Every guy I've been with has used some kind of (usually subtle/'romantic' like holding me over train tracks in a 'romantic' way or pushing up against me etc) physical force before I got into the relationship with him, to show dominance & show 'this is what happens when people say no to me' and ...

I'm talking about a cabal of Big Tech corporations deciding who can use the Internet and being the judge and jury of what can and can't be said. There still exist other, smaller web hosting companies besides just the Big Tech biggies. For example, my site uses DreamHost. Parler was using Amazon (on...

But we should start forming "families" as well kinda like the italian mafia lol or a "tribe"

I think a better analogy would be the alternative extended families that many LGBT people have created.

No disrespect but too simplistic, do black people form culture based on eating fried chicken? NO! Morbid humor aside, People form alliances based on challenges, (in the black example black people form alliances based on their challenges in dealing with racism etc.) Most ADULTS don't form friendship...
