The trouble with the "cure" community is that they're talking eugenics. The Nazi's tried that. They killed more than 6 million people trying to rid Europe of "impure" races. Here they are talking (though they seem to be trying not to talk that way) about inflicting something on unborn children. Bee... |

Those "mongoloids" are people with Downs Syndrome, which greatly impairs brain function. Basically, the meaningless work stuff is just to keep them occupied because otherwise they'd just sit at home, watch cartoons all day, and rot. I went to my state's (USA) Department of Rehabilitation and ended u... |

After I realized that NOBODY will hire me because I'm an aspie and haven't worked before because of it, I decided to start my own business. I'm in the final stages now; I've worked on it off and on since July 2007. It is a website with a unique idea that nobody else is doing. (Therefore, I can't tel... |

It seems to me that in some ancient/tribalistic societies that people with ASD or schizophrenia were highly respected as shamans or prophets. Many Bible scholars believe that Ezekiel was schizophrenic. In ancient Judea people who had visions or such were called prophets and were highly respected. OT... |

I take several medications for various symptoms (comorbids?) of my AS, like ADHD and OCD. I couldn't live without them. I am higher functioning because of them, and have a real chance of being self-supporting because of them. Then again, my psych is a genius with drugs, he knows all the potential si... |

The medication they're pushing is something called Valtrex. Supposedly, it reduces breakouts. Also supposedly, if you don't have blisters you're not contagious, therefore the drug maker claims that you can't spread your herpes if you use their drug. I learned all this from Craigslist, apparently her... |

Sci-Fi Thought of the Moment: Modern Man is largely out-of-touch with the natural world having lied to themselves about the damage being done and destroying the global environment for the most part.. Would it be a natural evolution to have beings that could bridge that gap and even help save the pl... |

Yes, I'm a 33 year old virgin. I had intimate relations with a couple young women in high school or immediately after, but it never actually got to the penetration stage because I never had condoms on hand. After about age 24 I was too consumed with my AS to worry about dates. Now I find I'm some so... |

I've driven since I was 17. (I am now 33.) I had tons of accidents because of my ADHD, totaled numerous cars, even had my license suspended at one point. I take Strattera now and am much better :P although I have gotten two speeding tickets while driving through the mountains, I forgot about all the... |

Some folks outside the scientific mainstream have asked darker questions as well: Could the collider create mini-black holes that last long enough and get big enough to turn into a matter-sucking maelstrom? Could exotic particles known as magnetic monopoles throw atomic nuclei out of whack? Could q... |

Hi, my name is Bryan, I'm 33, male, and diagnosed with Aspergers in October 2000. I live in California. I actually found this website through Autism Speaks and the constant bashing of Wrong Planet by curebie parents. I have already joined Aspies For Freedom, but I really don't fit in over there sinc... |
