pezar, Following on that point of "the USA being such a wonderful place, only someone crazy would want to leave it", this Nobel laureate gave up his green card so that he could become a Canadian citizen without complications, and not be considered a "U.S. person" (and thus subje... |

I think people in California are going to be better off than those in other places but it will still not be good. Campin_Cat, you should read both articles the OP shared. They answer your first question. As for your 2nd question, maybe the OP is scared (and rightfully so) that they live in a countr... |

Like I said...just because both parents are smart doesn't mean the kid will come out smart. Two mechanical geniuses who are socially adept could conceivably conceive a clumsy, asocial Asperger's-type kid. Eugenics is bad for a similar reason that having babies by your own father is bad. It contract... |

If eugenics is such a great idea, according to some, I say "let you and yours be the first in line." Many hateful ideas can be destroyed with the phrase "you first." Oh, I'll go first; no worries. My parents were very irresponsible to have me. They didn't take child creation ser... |

...If we don't control our birthrate, nature will do it for us with war, famine, disease. Handing out long term birth control methods such as Norplant is a vastly better option. Exactly. And financial incentives to not reproduce could work too. I think a lot of poor people are mentally disabled. Th... |

Nice to see another pro-eugenics aspie! :D :D I always felt that I shouldn't have been born. I probably could have been a semi-functional member of society in the agrarian age or even the early industrial age, but not now. I see many many kids being born who are sickly and severely mentally retarded... |

Holy sh*t, old age did what the CIA and all those right wing fanatics couldn't do! You know what they say: If you want a job done properly, do it yourself.    ! ! ! ! They also say, living well is the best revenge. Fidel fulfilled every dictator's dream; he died in bed of old a... |

The American "militia" movement is far less organized than the American New Left. Soros funds armies of professional agitators who are shipped around the country to smash stuff for news cameras, presumably to give the illusion that the New Left is far more powerful and influential than it ... |

The "Make America White Again" ship sank a long time ago. Mainly, I'd like to see freedom of association restored. Ever since the 70s there's been a concerted effort to force all these different races/ethnicities to live together in the hope that they will eventually come around to loving ... |

This is a sentiment that seems to be shared by many people of color: http://www.cracked.com/blog/dear-white-people-stop-saying-everything-will-be-ok/ There has been a rise in hate crimes after Trump's election, which seemed to embolden racists: https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2016/11/11/over-20... |

The Democrats acted downright arrogant, they really believed that Hillary DESERVED to be elected and that the election was a mere annoying formality, and that the white working class were simply misguided, petulant children who would eventually see the error of their ways and flock to Hillary in the... |

I have actually done this. I grew up in a rather boring, upper middle class suburb of Sacramento, California. I knew that I wasn't like the other kids, so since I was turned down for all the universities I applied to, I decided to move to the ghetto downtown and go to the "urban" communit... |

About a decade ago the US TV network ABC did a special program on Heaven, and they asked religious leaders from all sorts of traditions and subtraditions to describe what they thought Heaven is like. The show is probably floating around Youtube somewhere. It was rather interesting. |

So you're a Buddhist nun now? I too have decided on a permanent hermitage/solitude life. I even bought a piece of land that I thought was isolated...only to discover it's on a hilltop, on a paved public road, in an area with a really nasty homeowner association. Yay me.  So, that land i... |
