I’ve recently been reading about how thorium was once added to camera lenses. Does anyone know if Vivitar was among those adding them? I’m quite concerned about it, but I tend to be panicked about every little thing. Also, is there anything to suggest that it was ever added to binoculars? I have an ...

Is it better for me to just buy a USB card reader then? Will I loose any functionality? I guess there's something called PC cam mode, but to be honest, I don't think I've ever used it.

I have a Kodak EasyShare C6132 digital camera, and all of a sudden, the USB cord that came with it will not fit into the camera. Could something be stuck in the cord, or is it more likely the camera that has a problem?

Thanks!

I just got Bleach: The Blade of Fate for Nintendo DS, and I'm a bit confused as to how the save system works. After I finished about half of Ichigo Kurosaki's quest, and turned it off, it game basically reset itself without anyone I unlocked. Will it only save after I fully complete a character's ep...

I really hope there isn't any other damage. I looked up Nintendo's online troubleshooting, and it didn't seem to think so, but I would have thought it would turn on without the battery. In any case, I should get it soon.

Thanks for all the responses!

I ordered a new battery; Nintendo does sell them as individual units on their website luckily!

It was a DS Lite, and I paid much less than that, and got a few games with it.

I wouldn't ever try to repair the battery on its own - that's potenitally very dangerous.

I mean yeah, he dropped the battery specifically while it was removed, not the unit together.

Well, the individual who sold it to me says the reason the battery is dead is because he dropped it, so I can assume there's mechanical damage to the battery.

Thanks for the reply!

I’d like some help with a used Nintendo DS Lite I purchased, please. The person who I won it from on eBay said it needed a new battery. I tried to plug it into the charger, and I realize the battery isn’t good, but the orange LED turns on just for a moment and I see no other activity, and it can’t t...

I find that I have the exact same problem myself: people just don't understand why some things bother me, so they get upset.

I apologize for resurrecting an old topic, but I didn’t want to wantonly start a new one. I was wondering if anyone could better explain to me the United States’ planned phase out of incandescent lighting. CFLs give me many of the flicker problems that you guys have described. I was also wondering a...

I have been reading some of the old posts here about Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, or TMJ/TMJD, and I was wondering if I have anything to worry about. Recently I've had a flair up, but I'm a hypochondriac so I keep having imaginary sensations of my teeth falling out, etc. I really can't do anyth...

Ah, wow, I had never heard of Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu. Thanks for keying me into it. I’ve never seen Gintama to be honest, but I’m waiting for the series to get returned to the library. I actually figured it was really serious, by looking at the art, before I found out it really isn’t.

Thanks to all three of you! I tend to find that Wrong Planet is the perfect place to discuss just about anything really, because of how polite everyone here is. But thank you for the suggestion. I did sign up on the Anime News Network forums, and I actually ended up signing up for the Robotech.com f...
