I'm fortunate in that I've only got a mild form of mania. When it hits, I start all kinds of projects, I connect very different things in my mind as related, and I want to spend money. The Dollar Store works really well when I want to spend money; I can go all out and only spend $20. I also experien...

I've always had a fantasy world to escape to, but at no time did I think it was the "real" world.

Hi, does anybody have any ideas to help combat chronic fatigue? I've got daylight lights and I use them, but if I leave them on too long I get a migraine. Fortunately I'm currently on disability but I want to get back to work. Right now I can barely get up by 11:30 AM (approx 13 hours of sleep) and...

@Plywood. They are nothing to do with schizophrenia. They are simply part of a migraine headache. Some people get the headache and visual aura, some people just get the headache and some just get the visual aura. I think it is due to some sort of temporary chemical imbalance / disruption in the vis...

I would suggest switching from the opiods to Xanax. The main function of Xanax is to relieve stress/anxiety. I currently take Percocet for pain (opoid) and Xanax for stress/anxiety (along with so many other meds, it's not worth listing). I know you're having trouble getting in to see the therapist. ...

When I play Wii Sports (the game that comes with the console), everytime I play baseball, the system freezes up on me. The remote is non-responsive and I have to go to the console to hit the reset button to get back to the Wii menu. I tried buying another Sports game (from GameStop & previously ...

Ask them what's the capital of France, and hope for a laugh. That might work as well as anything else. I don't think it's imperative that you ask questions, but it seems to show an interest in getting the job. I try to think of anything I really would like to know about the job I'm applying for, an...

Job hunting is a nightmare. The only way I've figured out to handle it is to not think, just do: instead of thinking about how horrible it is and how worthless it makes me feel, block it out with meditation. I learned how to meditate when I was 11 or so, and the way I learned was from philosophy bo...

When I'm in court, I don't get sensory overload too often. Usually the judge doesn't tolerate people doing the things that cause overload. Though, sometimes the time delay on the recording system can be quite frustrating. And when I'm down in the office, sometimes things can be a bit out of hand. I...

I'm very sorry for what happened to you. Is tbere a supervisor above this person that you could talk to? Maybe you can get some clarity about what's going on. Try not to expect much, the supervisors' concern is for the center. *HUGS*

Do NOT tell them you have Asperger's Syndrome. If the business knows you have any kind of psychiatric disorder they will NOT, I repeat, will NOT hire you. The business world is very conservative and has a limited understanding of psychiatric disorders. The general assumption will be that if you hav...
