Don't say anything beyond answering the interview questions. Get the job first and then if your Aspie symptoms become a problem, you can discuss the situation with Human Resources.

Does anyone know if Asperberger's is covered under ADA guidelines?

Thanks Conundrum, you nailed the situation perfectly. I have started a job search and have found a job for a company I'd really like to work for. Wish me luck! :)

Four months ago (Feb. 1st) I had a severe depressive episode and was seriously contemplating suicide. My doctor took me off work and now I'm back at work (Jun. 1st). I really thought I could handle the problems because I worked very hard to overcome the problems that led to my contemplating suicide....

I'm almost always up by 5:00 AM. I have the best alarm clock in the world - a 60 pound labrador puppy. Today I got lucky and she let me sleep in until 5:30 AM.

I think you have to be very selective in your choice of friends and limit it to a few people. I have a couple of very good friends that I've had for 15 years, but we only get together (usually) every 2 weeks.

I don't agree either. I don't look at people like bowling pins, I look at them like they're aliens from space, because they think, emote and act different from me and it's sometimes an interesting study (from which I go away gratefuly to be AS). I also don't want to be with them for the same reason....

I see a lot of you have great memory but what about the ones with poor memory? Like I have great short term memory like I can remind all my friends stuff to do plus my-self what we all have to do but when it comes to long term memory I have large holes in it. Like black-out holes. Years at a time h...

My favorite breed is the Basenji. They're hard to describe; very intelligent, very mischevious, and they don't shed, so they're really good for people with allergies. They're "barkless", but they aren't quiet - they yodel, scream, yowl, growl and mine can roar like a lion. They're very, very cool bu...

I have horrible taste in clothes. I work in an office, so I have to dress fairly nicely. I used to keep to the same colors, but I'm trying to branch out. I've even worn colors that I don't think go together, but I don't get any responses from the NT's at work or from my NT hubby. Lately, I've been m...

I am so bad at office politics. I've been told a lot that I tell the truth too often. Tough. That's who I am and they need to deal with it. I hate liars and backstabbers and my job is so full of them. I can't trust anybody at work with anything. I try to stay in my cubicle, keep my head down and do ...
