Earplugs will likely be suggested, and while they're wonderful for some problems, they can't fix every instance. You might want to invest in a white noise CD or generator, which neutralizes annoying background noises with a soothing frequency. Both can be found online, and perhaps in some large dis...

I'm extremely sensitive to noise, making my ears/head hurt a lot. For example, I heard a water leak coming from a pipe under our house. Drove me crazy until hubby called the plumber and he had to come out on a Saturday to fix it. Does any one have any suggestions on how to deal with the noise? Being...

I have bad dreams most of the time. They usually involve a loss of control somehow. I've had bad dreams as far back into my childhood as I can remember. I wish there was some way to get rid of them. :(

Your at the I hate my family phase :x Unfortantly I think almost everyone goes threw this phase when they get to your age. Dont worry, your family will probably get easier to deal with as you get older, you still got some years before you get to the unconditional love part. :D I'm in my mid-forties...

I worry about becoming disabled, because then we'd have no medical insurance. I'm the only one of us with access to medical insurance through my job. Both my husband and myself have chronic illnesses that require a lot of doctors visits and a lot of prescription medication.

I work for a court. I do accounts payable, payroll. I really love my job, but my CEO is... well, I'm pretty sure she's the devil. If not, she definitely works for him. She's having a fit because our employees (including the fiscal dept. where I work) take too much time off. Now, unpaid leave time of...

I can't believe there are any doctors out there who don't respond to a request for help when dealing with suicide. This really ticks me off. In addition to the AS, I'm also Bi-Polar and have dealt alot with suicidal thoughts. Every one of my doctors (and I have quite a few), even if it wasn't in the...

someone once told me, when I was so worried that others might find out I was AS, was this "Well, they know SOMETHINGS up with you, anyway." might as well tell them. It might explain a lot of things to them. However, the hope I once had that 'if they only knew they would be nicer to me' has really n...

I hate being wet! I always try to not shower one day on the weekend. My hubby doesn't get it. I'm starting physical therapy for my back and one of the things the doc wants me to do is start swimming. I actually like swimming, as long as I can just swim back and forth. It's when I get out of the pool...

Yes, I think Toastmasters would be a lot of help. I actually got an "A" in my public speaking class - it was actually easier to speak to a crowd about a subject you'd prepared already and you don't have to interact with only one person, you just keep your eyes scanning around at your audience, so th...

There really isn't an option of not working for me. My husband doesn't have medical insurance through his work, so I have to work to maintain health coverage. I've got 21 different medical problems which is expensive enough just for the prescriptions. My husband only has one medical problem, which c...

IMO, your past doesn't matter, it's who you are now that defines you. I'm very impressed that you were able to identify what was wrong and have the courage to change yourself. I know that it couldn't have been easy for you, either before or after. You have my full support to post anywhere you want, ...

I hate to go shopping for anything. I like to buy on-line, but can't do that with food shopping and stuff like that. What I find odd, is that I love to go to Target. I think I have a Target addiction or something. I need to go there at least once a week and I usually don't buy anything. I never buy ...
