I have also heard Franklin mentioned as a possible aspergian. However, after reading his autobiography several years ago, I think he was just the stereotypical quirky mad genious. From what I know of Jefferson, I think it is a distinct possibility that he was on the spectrum. On the topic of politic...

I also have mild nystagmus, but I prefer to use side mirrors and turn my head... largely neglecting the center mirror.

Forum: General Autism Discussion   Topic: In your dreams, are you autistic?

I'm usually alone in my dreams. When other people do show up, they usually make cameo appearances and/or just fade into the background. Since other people tend to either be passive parts of the background or entirely non existant, and there is no unneccessary socialization in my dreams, I would imag...

My brain works (more or less) according to the principles of combinatory logic.

I am gluten-free, but that is because I have celiac disease. Going GF helped my gastrointestinal ills, but had no effect on my spectrum symptoms. My Girlfriend is GFCF, but it is also due to food intolerances (she may also be on the spectrum).

The only way I could see this method failing are: 1) if he had traces semen on his hands (from a previous ejaculation) while putting the condom on. 2) if the condom broke during intercourse and he had residue from a previous ejaculation in/around his urethra (sp?). If he urinates and washes his hand...

I am diagnosed and my GF is most likely an (undiagnosed) aspie. My last girlfriend was Dx'ed. I have dated one other girl whom I also suspect of having AS. In my experience, there are definitely levels of intimacy, understanding and "natural-ness" in AS-AS relationships that are lacking in AS-NT rel...

Seattle - very progressive/friendly, clean and one can see snow-capped mountains from downtown. I like the music scene in Boston, but (outside of back bay) the area has a bit of that pretenscious (sp?) New England vibe. There are some pretty parts of Washington, DC around the gov't buildings, but th...

Are you planning on doing something illegal that you need to worry about it? I use to get into a lot fights in my youth. I also sometimes get pulled over by police because I stagger when I walk and they think I am on something or drunk because of it. I've been kicked out of bars becaus...

While I never expect to get arrested, I have wondered about this in the context of field sobriety tests. I don't make a habit of driving drunk, but it would be concievable that I would be pulled over after having one or two drinks (legal where I live). Many of the field sobriety tests involve motor ...

I would date someone who is fatter than I am, but only because I'm almost a skeleton so any girl who isn't anorexic is probably fatter than me. Someone who weighs 250 lbs? Hell, no. I don't see what's with all these fat people complaining that they can't get a date. All you gotta do is change your ...

I have found regular size condoms break easily and the ring at the bottom painfully pinches my member. I have only had a magnum break once.... and I'm careful not to leave air bubbles inside them. Bear in mind that it is more important to make sure that the thing isn't too big, as it could slip off.

I voted "Yes, and I am a man," but I really wouldn't know. I actually expend more energy trying to avoid meaningless sex than I do seeking sexual gratification of any kind. I am not particularly interested in TOTALLY meaningless sex, but I usually don't have too much trouble meeting people who are i...

Well, I'm a bit ashamed to admit, but I was obsessed with shamanic uses of psychotropic plants about 8 years ago, which ultimately led to a bit of voyeuristic alchemy. (hope my phraseology maintained the PG raiting of this forum). In the long run, I'm none the worse for wear, since I had enough fore...
