It's like saying everyone has movement difficulties. And then when someone knocks something over, tell them to put it back, and when they can't (because they have a movement difficulty), tell them of course they should be able to pick it up, you have a movement difficulty and can pick it up. Not all...

But still, fact remains: aspies are unaware of NT-type of categorizing. Thus, NT-s, being fully aware that they are about to be "placed into category" by other NT-s, are bending backwards in order to "earn" a placement into "trustworthy category". Aspies, being unaware of this, fail to make such ef...

So quit it. Does anyone else find that often times you are quite happy in your own little world with your routines or interests doing your own thing in your own way even if the outside world thinks you are odd etc but then find that you become distressed and highly anxious because the outside world ...

Well, I know nothing about stemming . I am worried that other kids might notice and say something.

Maybe informing them that it's normal for him, nothing to be worried about, would help. Kids are completely accepting of differences if they have the right mindset about them.

Emotional Intelligence tests are funny... if it focuses on understanding social cues I score low, if it focuses on caring about others I score high, if it focuses on understanding your bodily reactions I score low, if it focuses on your own emotions I score high, if it's a mix I'll get a more averag...

I like the principles and practices of Buddhism. Many of the problems you mention here sound like the product of Aversion . That is you don't like a lot of things, they cause you to feel the need to control, repel, contract or attack in the face of them, and then you do. Are you a compulsive sort, ...

It's fine. The only way to waste your life is doing something you don't want to do that won't result in anything you want.

I quite often imagine fantasy stuff whilst doing it... make up stories... this make me think it cannot be Autism because I have heard Autistics do not do well with making up stories... Many autists spend a lot of time daydreaming & have good imaginations. Difficulty making up stories is more li...

I'm not sure... sometimes I feel like I only understand the sentence once it "echoes", and there's a feeling of time passing inbetween hearing the speech and understanding it. But other people don't seem to think I'm reacting slowly, and it's not conscious, I don't have any access to the raw sounds....

My routine is a chain of events, not a timetable. Works fine, so long as you're careful of being late for things. I've been thinking of using a music playlist as a clock, which would be much "softer" and circumvent most of my issues with clocks.

Superiority leads to arrogance, arrogance leads to hurting others. As such, I see others' antagonizing behaviors and decide that [i]this[\i] is what makes them inferior. Their constant antagonizing when they gain nothing from it is inefficient and creates a negative effect on my self-esteem, which c...
