My son tried taking two online high school courses during his Freshman year, both core courses. We decided to try this because his academic performance in middle school was not very good. The online courses were worse than real school, it was a terrible experience, and now he is making the courses u... |

I'm a front-line dad, did all the dropping off and picking up, attended all the P/T conferences and IEP meetings, signed all the forms. And I'm the one the VP called whenever there were behavior issues. I can relate to your experience that its really weird being the only dad in the middle of all tho... |

To me, foregiveness is a gift that you can choose to give or not. Some people are worth giving the gift of foregiveness to, and some are not. I think foregiveness is a very important thing, not to be considered lightly, and not to be given lightly, It is worthy of much thought and consideration, per... |

Its an expression that means "choosing something without much thought." As you've noted, it does not mean "at random" in the literal sense of the term. |

I can relate. I worry about my children all the time. Sometimes it seems so over-whelming. You are allowed to vent. And you are not alone. |

I'm contributing because Caitlin told me I need to contribute more. Thanks a lot Caitlin  So, if a 13 year old has never been to summer camp before, I think 13 is too old to force into a summer camp experience. With my son, he's been going to camp since he was very young. First day camp, and l... |

Question for NTs: A Temple Grandin TED talk has left me curious. Do you really think in something besides pictures? If so, what? I have several different "modes" of thinking, including thinking in pictures, thinking in terms of musical phrases or ideas, thinking in terms of mathematical equations, ... |

I find it an admirable quality in people, this process of self-reflection, self-discovery, and self-improvement...n... |

No. Except for teachers because its in my child's IEP, and some trusted family members but not all and not even most. On this matter I let the golden rule guide my actions for the most part, and my child is very embarrased of his differences and does not tell anybody, and I respect his feelings. |
