I do not have an official AS diagnosis yet. My therapist keeps telling me that the tests they use in their office (by the MDs) aren't applicable to adults. However I first really came to this conclusion last year. I'm in my late 20s (born in the early 80s). I am diagnosed with anxiety and depression.

I would definitely get her some pantyliners for the discharge.

I agree with jojobean about the hormones and pain. I thought that it was difficult enough to deal with when I was 12 (I started getting breasts around 11, which wasn't a picnic either) so I think it would be very rough at her age.

Thanks for the suggestions. After I stopped taking the Zoloft I dug out and bought some new vitamins including St. John's Wort and B12. I took St. John's Wort a while back & didn't feel that it did anything. However I feel like even if this stuff doesn't do anything at least it's not hurting me....

People have been telling me this since I was a child. I love language. I have enough trouble speaking to anyone anyway (my anxiety) that I don't normally make an effort to dumb down my language. I'm sorry that you have to do so frequently. I also love using colloquialisms (especially older ones that...

He should have already been diagnosed as a child.”( Asperger’s Syndrome only became an official diagnosis in 1994 years after I was born and it probably hasn't been recognized in many countries even until today!! ! I totally get this. I had an hour with a doc last year who while he did seem to unde...

I have in the past and sometimes occasionally relapse now. I have also suffered from exercise bulimia which even my doctors don't seem to understand is a real thing. When I was a teen I had to stop feeling because of the teasing. Then I felt nothing at all for a while. I realized that the only thing...

I'm sure people are bored with this by now but today something happened that was just so ridiculous that I had to share. I told my father that I can't get along with this CRNP and needed him to call the office and see if I could get in with another person, preferably a psychiatrist. They made me get...

I don't have any tips. I just wanted to say that I feel for you. While there have been times now and in my childhood when I just couldn't speak in the moment there was a period of about 3 years after high school (due to bullying) in which I didn't/couldn't talk to anyone outside of my immediate fami...

I like the smell and would like to enjoy them. However I have the same issue. My father was/is extremely overprotective and would say things like that all of the time so it's one of those extra things he's ingrained in me. My sister doesn't have issues like this. Like many typical children and teens...

When I sort of had some friends a few years ago after knowing them for a while and then going through a tough period I shared my social anxiety with a few of them and in doing so found out that many of them also had some degree of social anxiety. I know it's not exactly the same. I do now believe th...

Thanks, yeah it was due to my anxiety. Now I'm thinking that I'm just going to have to find a better (for me) competent actual psychiatrist (who talks to you and doesn't just do that 10 minute drug consult) in the same practice as the latter one, get them familiarized with everything via my therapis...

Thank you for your suggestions and for sharing. Some of those things do seem to help a bit and I also do them from time to time. Plus I like to sing, even to myself, despite feeling like Little Voice from to time. I usually do jot down some notes about whatever I want to talk about with the therapis...

I know this is long but if someone who knows anything about temporary disability and head shrinkers could look at the bolded parts and let me know their thoughts I'd really appreciate it. I started seeing a therapist almost a year ago. I have also been trying to get on disability (I've been denied a...
