Is the prescription difference big between left and right eyes for you? Also I noticed a kind of color difference when I close my right eye, or when I close my left eye. For instance, things seem to look a bit more reddish or brownish when I look with just my right eye, compared to just my left eye....

Do you wear glasses?

I've had that 3D things-shifting kind of thing since I was maybe 15 or so, but always thought that it was because of my really bad eyesight (nearsighted, -9 diopters in my left eye, -7.5 right).

I voted the first option, but as for the story about X, I'm not so sure if it's necessarily a good idea to tell X about AS, unless you're fairly sure that X is going to accept it. If X will just get defensive and hate you and not believe you at all, then there really isn't much point to telling him....

OMG! Ok, one thing that is ridiculous and needs to stop right away, is that she makes you feel stupid if you don't understand something right away. Seriously, if she's going to be insulting and immature like that, then something is seriously wrong with HER, not you. Maybe she herself has issues that...

No, not an alien. i use to think i was a mutant, like in the xmen, but my powers had not yet developed. I reliezed after a while that it was something different so i asked and found out I had AS. With AS, you DO have powers!! It's just a matter of being able to use them effectively and responsibly....

Oops, sorry I should have read your first post in what is essentially the "New Members" forum. From what I understand, your girlfriend doesn't accept your AS explanation for your behavior... I don't know what else you can do. :( She'll have to accept it, or else it seems likely that the problems wil...

I wish you good luck trying to get that diagnosis! Unfortunately I can't really give you advice on how to get it successfully. I've been seeing a psychiatrist for the past 3, almost 4 months now trying to get the diagnosis. But he wants to hear all this stuff about current problems, as well as my hi...

Aridarr, That totally sucks! And just like many others here, I totally understand what you're going through. For me, I met this one person online and I was like, wow this guy is an awful lot like me... very similar perspective of life, problems dealing with people, lots of self-confidence issues, et...

Just say confidently, "yes, me alone" and leave it at that. No explanation or retaliatory statement is needed. Try to be comfortable being who you are. Give him the chance to understand your position, it's the only way that he will ever be able to see your side of things. :D

Well, I don't think we should try to be more NT, maybe try to get the good aspects of Nts, that can be... Exactly! Since we usually mirror/copy other people, why not just copy/absorb all of the good stuff we see from others, regardless of whether they are NT or AS? That way we simply improve oursel...

But then again, I had a lot of good teachers. (Things where arranged that way). My chemistry teacher on occasion would blow things up. (If you don't have a Chemistry teacher that isn't blowing things up, something is seriously wrong . That's most of the reason people get into chemistry to begin wit...

Sometime later I'll come up with some experiments I've done in the past and organize them and stuff, but that's another post for another time. Another fun thing to play with is dry ice... or lighting ethanol (which can be found in hand sanitizer) on fire. LOL those are both incredibly fun...

I totally agree with InvisibleMan, don't worry about what all those other people think of you! If they judge you, well, they simply don't understand you, and they just don't see all the good things about you. They just think of how weird you look and all that superficial stuff. Superficial = stupid....

I'm really friendly to people who are familiar to me... I'll be able to start up conversations with them, or they might start to say something to me, and we'll be ok for a while. But eventually, I run out of things to say and then we just sort of stand there, and it feels so incredibly awkward that ...

I don't know about Sweden, but I know that in Norway, children are required to learn English in school. That might contribute to the disproportionately high number of people from that area visiting English language websites like WP? This topic really grabbed my attention, because the one other perso...
