My friend has had the implant for years and she is very happy with it. I have the contraceptive injection because I didn't like the idea of having the implant thing under my skin where I could feel it. I don't have periods on the injection and I haven't gained weight on it either, so I am happy. The...

I'm not terribly sure what other people think of me, because I find it very difficult to tell what people are thinking or feeling generally. People at work often say things like 'Oh, you're so funny' and the words 'clumsy' and 'entertaining' are quite common. I think they think I am a nice, slightly...

Yes I am in the UK and I've booked a doctors appointment for a couple of weeks time to talk about it, the only thing is my doctors never seem to give me a straight answer, I get the impression their as confused as me about my symptoms, all their offering is CBT which I've got tomorrow... I'm going ...

I don't know what is wrong with you, but it does sound as if you are quite unwell. Are you in the UK? If so, I think the best place to go is to your GP. Early intervention for psychosis is effective (especially in young people) and so it is worth dealing with the problem now rather than waiting unti...

I was just looking at a psychopathy checklist on Wikipedia. There seems to be a lot of criteria for it which I don't meet, like cunning/manipulative, pathological lying, lack of realistic long term goals, parasitic lifestyle, etc. You are definitely not a psychopath, I've read enough of your posts ...

I don't much care for my body either, I don't feel like my mind and body are attached properly. I don't feel like a human being, more like a 'thing'. I suspect that there is nothing wrong with either of us, it's just a feeling. I know it's horrible, and I wish I could tell you how to fix it but I tr...

I'm not sure that people with Aspergers generally defend psychopaths, two people doesn't really make a trend. Before I knew about Aspergers I sometimes worried that I might be a psychopath, because I didn't seem to have the same feelings that other women had. Now I know more about Aspergers and psyc...

Yes and sometimes no matter how illogical I might find something I still believe it sometimes. Also I kind of don't like to constantly feel like sh*t. Also I am certainly not going to just up and quit the meds I've been prescribed that is not recommended anyways and yeah even if I said I'd not do a...

Yes, I've been where you are. I've come home crying to my partner that everyone at work hates me and is talking about me when I know that logically it isn't true (for several reasons that we don't need to go into here). If you were simply having these thoughts and were aware they weren't real then I...

I work part time, as a cleaner. It's partly necessity (there aren't a lot of full time jobs anymore) but even if there were other jobs I would stick with this one. I couldn't cope with much more than this.

Who said that to you? I think it means just what they have said. I could be wrong, but it sounds as if the person who has said that is very fond of you and has clearly spend some time thinking about you and trying to figure you out. An old friend of mine. We don't see each other that often (maybe o...

The 'negative' symptoms of schizophrenia such as social withdrawal, executive function issues etc can occur in other conditions too, including Aspergers and depression. It is possible that you are developing schizophrenia, but it's equally likely that it could be something else. No one here can diag...

How do I get help? I can't afford to pay for anything, and I don't have medical insurance. Honestly, I'm afraid to talk to anyone. Even though you are afraid, it's important you speak to someone. I'm sure there must be provision for people who are acutely ill but do not have medical insurance (I am...

Do you have a diagnosis for schizophreniform disorder? If not I suggest you see a doctor. People who have their schizophrenia identified and treated earlier have better outcomes than those who do not. If you are in fact developing schizophrenia the sooner you get the help you need the better. Please...

Sadly, I feel that way and I am married. Weekends can be so long. Not fair, but I can't help it. I'm so glad you wrote that, I feel the same way. I feel guilty for feeling this way, but I sometimes dread the weekends. I get up at 5.30 every morning so I can just sit on my own, in silence. I love my...
