I have always been a very fast walker. If there's somewhere to get to - GET THERE. Even shopping I walk fast, much to the ire of my shorter wife. She can't walk quite as fast as I do, even if I'm walking at a slower pace. If I'm out walking for the exercize, I'm hell on two feet. But if I'm out in t...

Probably a Zero.

My Dad just died a week ago and I am trying hard to not overcompensate in dealing with the emotions I feel over his death. And at the same time I am trying very hard to not fall in a deep depression either. As long as I can maintain a balance - I'm happy.

Thank you all for the kind words. My condolences to all of you who have lost someone close to you. Here's my Dad in 1948: And here's the dapper fellow most likely around 1955 or so:

Thank you. He gave me a lot to live up to. He was a very charismatic man who had MANY friends. I was at the grocery store with my brothers one day before the funeral. I stopped them to ask them if they realized that with our mother having died 5 years earlier - that we were all now basically middle-...

My Dad died on May 17th at 2:17 p.m. He was 78 years old. I didn't learn about AS until about eleven years ago. It was looking at Dad and through his eyes that even alterted me to AS in the first place. Everyone knew my Dad was always an odd person. Wise and well spoken my dad was a charmer. But it'...

For the last several months I have been obsessed with motorized bicycles. Here's my very first bicycle: I am going to try to start a business building and selling these bicycles. At $4 for a gallon of gas , the idea doesn't seem so far fetched. 8)

I used to smile really big back in the day when my teeth looked better and they were all there.

Nowadays half my teeth have fallen out so to save myself the embarassment I just smile with a closed mouth.

80% because I have no clue what to say and how to say it in a logical, cohesive manner. I either talk in a stream-of-consciousness manner or pretty much nothing.

20% because I am afraid of sticking my foot in my mouth and emabarrassing myself. Happens every time.

I take Paxil (Paroxetine) and I am a card-carrying member of people who believe in the power of antidepressants. It has helped me greatly.

I come from a family with chronic depression. I'm OCD with severe depression.

Paxil helps. A LOT.

When I was a child, I was literally too shy and too timid - too STUPID to even ask for food. I would only eat when food was put out. I wouldn't raid the fridge or anything. And when I got hungry, I starved for hours and hours because I was so absent-minded that I forgot to eat. So it eventually brou...

As far as sleep goes, any over the counter sleep aid works for me. I have a hard time sleep but thankfully those heavily advertised in-the-media- sleep aids are't needed. Just what ever generic sleep aid works for me, thankfully. The heaviest medication I ever took was Adderall. It helped and it did...

I was about 12 when I got Chiken Pox. My cousin had it so my mother brought me over to his apartment to spend the night. She was hoping I could just hurry up and contract Chiken Pox so that I would get it all over with. But it backfired on her because she sent me to school WITH Chiken Pox because th...
