I used to listen to her back in tha day, back when she was insanely popular and she had a song in every movie soundtrack. The first time I ever heard one of her songs was in the Steve Martin movie "L.A. Story" years and years ago. Her song made that movie. "On Your Shore" was the that track. Thinkin...

No offense to parents of Aspie children or Aspie parents of Aspie children but the books that do exist only deal with how Asperger's affects children. And only deals with the problems of raising an Aspie child. There are practically NO books on the market that deal with the adult Aspie. And Holy hel...

Most likely, not enough research has been done on the Asperger's/drug correlation to give any significant data. So let's conduct our own informal Aspie/drug survey. If any Aspie's here either use or have thought about using drugs, be counted. I won't ask if you use or just have thought about it. I w...

I have been with women who wanted to roleplay and I came to realize that I had absolutely no interest in it whatsoever.

I just don't want to be a caricature of someone else while having sex with someone. I'm me and it's all I'm capable of being.

So you're not alone jnet.

Thanks, DD. I have made the decision to start seeing a therapist again.

If I had someone to talk to during all this, I'd be in a much better mental state. But being out here all alone, here at the end of the world, is really tough.

But thanks for the encouragement, DD!

I don't think most Aspie's are comfortable with change. And comfort for an Aspie is a very exact and narrow concept. But we can come to learn to accept and integrate change into our lives with a little finesse. It's like learning to be flexible in accepting change. We will always have to bend toward...

Thank you DogDancer. I will follow your advice. I got Dad to the hospital and they soon put a catheter in him. And when they did that (and after he stopped yelling at the nurse who was putting the catheter in!) he peeded out, all at once, 4,000cc's of urine. The nurse said that the VERY most he'd ev...

I go to check on Dad a little while ago and he tells me that something in his bloodwork was off. He tells me that a doctor called him and asked him to report to a local hospital for dialysis.

It just keeps getting worse.

So I take dad to the doctor today. He exmines Dad and finds that his prostate gland is fine. Looks him over, gives him a bunch of medication. And tells me that because Dad is a grown man and still sane, he has no power to suggest my Dad be admitted into a nursing home. So he goes to our back up plan...

My father, who is 77, is dying. He's been going steadily downhill for several years. And until now I have been able to keep it in check. To play these silly little games with my Dad which purpose it was to help convince us both nothing was wrong – he was getting older. You get old and you slow down....

I'm using an OOOLLLLLLD case for the current rig I have set up now. I bought a computer back in '99 and it ran for a couple of years. I have switched motherboards on that case twice. Now I run a 6.66 gigahertz Pentuim 4 with 1.256 gigs of DDR2 533 RAM. I just use the on-board video @ 64 megs of VRAM...

Maybe if you take the approach that you want to market the book as being the work of an Aspie, you could garner enough buzz to get your foot into some door somewhere. But my advice to you is to have a well-sized body of work before you go public with your projects. Editors like to see a good sized c...

I tried creating a few small press comics. And I was inker on a professionally released comic book called "The Prince." Eventually I gave up on doing comics because I ended having such a hard time drawing people's facial expressions. A very long time ago, when I was still doing small press comic boo...

I'm an Aspie. I like God and Hershey's Chocolate. And sunshine.
