I didn't answer. I'm a happy person in summer most of the time, and when not, contemplative. I've never been happy during the school year, during which I'm usually unhappy or just emotionally distant from everything. My father has seasonal depression, and my mother says she has had depression at tim...

My advice to you is to try to find some new friends. I know it's really hard to do, especially if you feel like you hate people, but try. Also, there's a book called Life of Pi, that's worth reading for anyone who feels angry with a group of people. Or any number of other things. Just try to keep an...

Totally, entirely right handed. Always have been. My parents pushed me to use my right for everything for as long as I can remember. Didn't help, my handwriting is still very messy, unless I consciously neaten it when I write. I type whenever possible, because my thumb gets tired very quickly when I...

Just find some earplugs to use. As long as they're not really huge and eye catching, you should be fine. It's much better to have good hearing, and over time loud instruments can cause hearing loss. I don't know about you, but I depend extensively on my hearing in all walks of life, though I wasn't ...

I have had similar experiences a ton. Eventually my feeling got to be that they're all idiots and probably not worth being near(did cool down after a few weeks a bit). I do homework at lunch usually, so where I sit doesn't matter much to me, though I somewhat prefer to be near an open window when po...

I usually only do one or two, and I'm not sure if I want ...

So my middle school has Autism Awareness month in April. They hand out information specific to severe autism and autistic savants, and rarely, if ever, mention high functioning Autism or Asperger's. Then they force kids to make posters and stuff about it, largely inaccurate information about how aut...

I started playing music a little over three years ago. I can sightread somewhat, but when I'm sightreading I have just a few note problems. In bass clef I will confuse D with F, occasionally, and in treble G with B or A with C. Unless they're really complicated, rhythms aren't a problem. Note issues...

New to the forum, wondering. Most of my friends are odd and interesting people, but as far as I can tell, only one of them is AS. Is this common among AS people?
