I'm with you all the way on this! I would be so miserable in a "normal" relationship with an NT and it's too bad it took me most of my life to discover this. I am absolutely dedicated to my theater and photography work. When I am working on a show, I just don't have time for people, even those I car...

I'm not new to WP but I haven't signed on in over three years for various reasons but I've begun to really miss talking to like minded Aspies. I doubt any of you remember me, I wasn't incredibly active or anything and I have changed a lot in the mean time. I stopped signing in about the time I skirt...

I'm more sensitive to heat than I am to cold. The warehouse I work in is unheated and I would typically work in jeans and a short sleeve shirt down in the mid 30s. When it hit 55 degrees or so I was dripping sweat. Not sure what I will do this summer when it will probably hit 100+ degrees inside, pr...

I feel fairly undesirable. My few close friends have drifted away from me (or I from them perhaps). I just don't mix with people well anymore. At least I'm more stoic about it and it bothers me a lot less then it used to.

I finally had the chance to see Michael Moore's Sicko last night and it offers a compelling reason not to ever tell an employer or get diagnosed (at least here in the US, where for the majority of people, health insurance is reliant on one's employer): autism and Asperger's Syndrome are considered ...

I wouldn't mind cuddling with girls but I wouldn't be very comfortable cuddling guys.

I am a theater major in college and I am planning to work in theater professionally. My specialty is technical theater. I am not much of an actor though I have taken some acting classes that I enjoyed quite a bit.

Yes. I usually act and feel like I am 10 years older than I am. My friends are usually a lot older than me. One of my better friends is 28 years old to my 21 and we have pretty similar temperaments. I also get along with the older guys at work more than the people my age. It's been that way for me f...

I work as a package handler for FedEx. The work is physically pretty brutal but it is a great workout. Interacting with others package handlers is pretty optional. Even if you are working with someone else, you are usually too busy to talk.

@computerlove I feel the same way about the theater design (lighting and sound) that I do. I have no one at school to talk about my ideas except my professors. I'm pretty good and I think that the few other designers here feel like I'm bragging if I talk about it. I am always being accused of overki...

I guess it depends. I have very few friends and only one who is remotely close to me but she often flips out at me for a variety of reason I only find out about after the fact. Things have gotten worse for me since high school but my ability to cope has increased quite a bit. I live in a state of pe...

I just try to avoid talking too much about things I know a lot about because people seem to perceive me as arrogant about it. I also avoid talking about things I don't know a lot about because that is the domain of fools and assholes. So essentially, I just don't talk much any more.

I feel your pain exactly! I've had a lot of impossible crushes in college and I've never been able to get past just being casual friends. Ironically, I was at a party the other night and a girl I've liked for years said "I love you" to me for giving her a shot of my rum (in a friendly, not a romanti...

I think that women should do something with their hair that makes it look good. I don't think it's the kind of hair but how she takes care of it. The only hairstyle I really don't like is dreads. I just don't think it looks good on women. I think a very few guys can pull it off but in general, no. A...
