For a first message, ask them one or two questions about something on their profile. Keep it short, no more than 5 sentences or so. If they respond, try and keep the conversation going. If you start running out of things to talk about, ask them another question about something on their profile or s...

Tough one. There doesn't seem to be any one formula that works. Actually one thing I think Eharmony got right is doing guided questions before you actually send messages. blood looking around the Internet a little bit for tips and tricks to make a successful email, I been doing things like asking g...

sometimes a chance of scenery is just what the pdoctor ordered. for me, it was taking a deep breath, holding my nose, and jumping into the army. it taught me what I did NOT want out of life, and that is half the battle of finding out what you DO want out of life. yeah, I feel like while I live here...

basically I never know what to talk about on OkCupid, and how I should word it so can get a good conversation going. I'm also not sure how to turn an email into something simple like a coffee date. Also, I'm a bit hesitant of actually messaging anybody, it may seem silly but I'm a little bit afraid....

the grand summary of things, I'm unhappy with how my life is right now. This spans more than just social skills so some of these topics aren't totally relevant. There is no general discussion about life issues here so I figured this was the best fit. I could make this a super long post by ranting on...

So I thought I'd try to make my self summary less bland. It went from this: I am shy, quiet, and reserved at first, but can become outgoing and dedicated once I feel more comfortable and get to know you a bit. I also consider myself very respectful, honest, and polite. During the winter I do my favo...

EDIT: A girl just randomly left me a message! I talked to her a little bit already,, but I'm not sure what else to ask her or talk about. Would anyone like to hear the gist of our conversation? How exciting! Do tell us! Edit: was she nerdy? I'm not sure, I'm not getting a wave of detail out of her ...

What clichés are you referring to? Again I'm not too sure what else about me I could put in that makes me seem a little more unique. I think I might have to do some reflection or something I'm not sure. I think I just had a brainwave... Maybe I should elaborate on what kind of video games I like to...

you have some spelling and grammar issues to fix. Really now? I'm usually very particular about my spelling and grammar. I spot six sentences that you have failed to start with capital letters. There is also a typo. You've written "quiets" instead of "quiet." I don't mean it as a criticism; just an...

Why don't you have any more recent pictures? Unless you look exactly the same now, I think it's better to post the most recent pics possible, that way if you wind up meeting someone in person, they won't get upset over the fact that you look different. Other than that, your profile looks good. You'...

What you are doing stealing my pictures from a decade ago? Geez, you could pass as me from 10 years ago Zounds, you caught me! In all seriousness, I'm putting my OKCupid profile back together and all I can say is that if I were female, I would think that you are ONLY interested in Skiing or a ski b...

First of all, you are very attractive, so score for that! :) Heh, that's a boost to the ego! I always think I'm not that good looking, or just average. I would remove the last photo though as it kind of makes you look 12... The other ones do not though. As much as we like to avoid it, the truth is ...

At 1st, I did the very typical Aspergers thing where I wrote a huge detailed paragraph in the about me section, but thought that typical people wouldn't care enough to read that much detail. So since my registration, it has been severely trimmed down. Do you wish to attract "typical people"? Ok, I ...

I've put my finger in the cake of most major dating sites, including OkCupid, eHarmony, match, and plenty of fish. I figured it would be a good option considering I'm not much into the club scene and am terribly shy and introverted when it comes to talking to people I like. so basically I'm looking ...

I'm I consider myself pretty concerned, if not close to obsessed, with how I look. A fear of mine is becoming obese, which is why I try so hard to stay active a lot and also do exercises to build muscle. It's probably because I think I don't look that good which is because of some low self-esteem.

I would differently say I'm insecure about my appearance, which is why I try to exercise so often/do workouts to build muscle.
