It'd just be nice to have a place us 45+'s can have a place to chat, about all the stuff we go through, that doesn't really apply to the younger ones. Like going grey and wrinkly, being incontonent, memory loss.... incontinence and memory problems are also part of life for some younger Auties and A...

Interesting enough subject. Answer likely vary as much as the individuals contemplating (or not) marriage and children. I have been married and divorced twice. First marriage I had four children. Second marriage she already had three so was enough and neither of us had a desire for more. I had safe ...

According to the test, I might have: Over focused ADD Ring of Fire ADD Temporal lobe ADD Anxious ADD Whilst I know a poor working memory is directly associated to autism, I fear that mine is ludicrously bad. Irrespective of what condition one might have, I suspect most can remember what happened du...

I too returned to work after almost 3 years off. Plus it had been over 10 years since I had done the line of work returned to. Like you all the distractions of an office made it difficult to do. I was in sensory overload to the point I kept shutting down. And if a co-worker or boss needed to convers...

CFLs are a fire hazard IMO. Had several smoke and one that caught fire (admittedly briefly). Had it been in another lamp with a smaller lampshade, home might be gone by now. Do yourself a favor and get the new LED bulbs. Yes a tad pricey but under $5 easily. I like lighting somewhat dim so a 40watt ...

Hi All,

I rarely say anything on arguments of this nature as then end up as a soapbox for both sides to prove how the other side (left or right) are not patriots, are lawbreakers, etc. Sad fact is that most of you on both sides are more then correct. Now you are looking at me like "wth is he smoking&qu...

For years I have heard that the pruning process of neurons has gone astray in us (autistics) resulting in too many connections. They have now found a genetic link to the pruning process in schizophrenia that shows excess pruning occurs. One wonders if the defect is in the same gene or group of genes...

If I get an diagnosis, will my future employer know that I have Asperger? Not sure of your location but here in the US it can matter very much. Since you speak of a "future" job and you already have been diagnosed. The reason is that to be hired by many employers, they require either disc...

I hope they gave the contract cancellation to you instead of just saying they cancelled it. DON'T mark it resolved to the BBB until you are satisfied. I wouldn't let them off the hook totally!
