It might have been James Connolly though. Mind you they didn't even bother taking him to court.

Hang on, they weren't kids though. Oh well, I tried.

Ah, that's the "walked a mile in his moccasins" thing I think. I reckon all that matters is whether or not I think somebody is a threat to me or my loved ones. Then it's the doctrine of minimum force. I should write a new bible with stuff like that in it.

I hate paying my TV licence I do And you don't even get a choice to opt out Well, you can just stop buying the license and then either ditch live TV or take a chance that you don't get caught watching it. I kind of like the idea of BBC being a subscription service. That way only people who watch it...

I don't understand why ham and pineapple pizza is frowned upon, it's my favourite pizza I think putting anchovies or tofu on pizza is far worse. Well I'd frown on both of them personally if anybody tried to get me to eat them, but each to his own is my motto. As long as I can't smell anything horri...

It's all videos for me now. Among other things I got sick of waiting for them to air the stuff that I wanted to see. And they charge for live television in the UK. Do you at least have ad free viewing for the paid live tv? I'd be pretty mad if I paid to watch tv and still had to deal with ads. I do...

I can see the attraction of a technique for keeping the mind from going off at tangents. In my experience, my mind usually focusses itself well enough when it's an urgent matter, so when there's no urgency I usually let it do what it wants. If I slow it down I just get bored and impatient. Trying to...

I disapprove of the way they've started using the term to describe things that are nothing to do with concealment. It was a confusing thing to do and the eggheads should have known better. I don't mind what they call the things that aren't literally masking, as long as it's a name that fits what it ...

I've always wanted to see what used to happen in the Corn Exchange. I suppose they were all swapping sheep for barley and that kind of thing. The one in Leicester is a theme pub now.

I never sat through a whole JCNR even when I had live television. But I saw enough of it to know it sucked. I like The Day Today though because that takes the mickey out of news programmes.

I see. I suppose the other good thing about a stock market crash is that we might get to see a few bankers chucking themselves out of skyscraper windows.

'Eclectic' musical tastes, or rather people who claim to have these. That word doesn't go down well in anti-intellectual Arkansas so I just tell them I like a wide range of styles. Is John Craven's Newsround still going? He must be about 90 years old by now. The hippie band I was in was talking abo...
