I put so much effort into our son. GOOD counselling, special diet, research, love, teaching strong morals (that everyone else thinks he has cos he charms them).... Who is this "everyone else" who he charms and who think he has these positive characteristics? How many people? Who else shares your ne...

The non-residential fee is stupendously high; £75 for a day!! ! ? :O ! !! ?:O ! !! :O I could understand £45-£50 perhaps, but £75? Why is it so expensive for non-residents? :?

they are monitoring and recording EVERYTHING there are literally files on tens of millions of Americans Then how can useful data be extracted from such a mess? Collecting -everything- runs a close second to collecting -nothing-. The main hazard I see is that it can be used in political skullduggery...

German Green party politician Malte Spitz decided a year or so ago to see how much it was possible to find out about his life only from his mobile/portable phone data, *not* the contents of his calls or emails etc, but simply the "metadata" that Verizon has been shown to be handing over in huge quan...

Nobody wants to talk about it because there is no way to stop it, thats what I think. Like the too-big-to-prosecute-banks, the 1% owning more than half the world's wealth, the giant-corporate-tax-dodgers, the lies that politicians and CEO's tell constantly and routinely, the drones killing hundreds...

Yes, :) I've been checking on here for almost two days now as the news/scoops have been breaking at The Guardian, and tracking the follow-ups on other sites, ( The Independent, Salon, Truthdig, Alternet, Mother Jones, Boing Boing and other blogs etc ... nothing at Tom Dispatch yet though ) and have ...

I gave genuine condolences to all those affected by this sad tragedy. I cried a bit. So yeah, I know I'm not the only one too, many members here have children of our own. And I'm not just being a show pony for others, no 'forced' sorrow. That might be the case with you, but I am genuinely very sad ...

I'm frankly sick of people crapping on gestures of kindness just because they don't fit into their own political agendas. If I believed that your threads really were about "kindness" I would probably not have felt the need to comment in this way on them, but as I have now said a couple of times I t...

There's something else going on here. Reading the article again, and paying more attention to the time span of the mass murders listed: http://www.alternet.org/gender/what-it-about-men-theyre-committing-these-horrible-massacres?paging=off In 31 of the school shootings that have taken place since 19...

The Sandy Hook killings [ have ] nothing to do with politics as far as I'm concerned. As I said on page 3 of this thread: You could say that Adam Lanza was acting out the "character"/role of the USA to perfection, though on a *much* smaller scale; armed to the teeth, killing people that he/the USA ...

This is because of claims that the shooter may have been autistic. ... If I had a brother, and he killed somebody, I would apologize to the family on behalf of my family. ... This, although not quite the same, is quite a similar situation. ... Autism has never been a reason claimed for drone attack...

... Care to point out where I ever said we should show more for the victims in Connecticut than for anyone else? Absence of posts about others is proof of nothing. You seem to be insinuating I may be racist. No, I am not insinuating racism on your part. I'm speculating that is it "defensiveness" ( ...

I must have missed all the other threads that you have posted to extend condolences to the hundreds of grieving families in Afghanistan, Yemen etc.
