Just one more thing before going... Sexual orientation is fluid and there is no clear line drawn anywhere. Especially for those that fall under the umbrella of bisexual like I do. One cannot assume sex is the only thing that has to do with attraction, because it's not. Not by a long shot. That's pr...

@Salonfilosoof  That's interesting,  and your theory does seem plausible,  for some,  at least.  But how would you fit gay men into that picture? It seems that there is a stronger case there for a biological argument.  It's as if it's a different phenomenon.  Women seem less 'focused' orientation-w...

Yes it is a choice. I choose to be with a woman because I find women more attractive and because sex with a woman is far more appealing to me, however considering I feel far more comfortable in the company of men than the company of women I could have made a different choice as well. It was only a ...

Fill us in, please. What made you think you weren't straight at that age and how did you even realise that not being straight was an option? I'm not saying you're talking BS here, but I'm just curious about the details because people have quite a strong tendency to fool themselves and understanding...

As I said, numerous studies show pretty conclusively that the intelligence of Sub-Saharan Africans and their North-American counterparts is significantly lower than that of Whites and East-Asians but your examples seem to be mostly the exceptions. Source please? Is it really that hard to do some re...

It's not cultural, but I cannot say if it's genetic or not. I was born and raised in a highly religious environment. I was taught very early on that homosexuality was wrong and sinful. Guess what? I knew I wasn't straight in KINDERGARTEN. Fill us in, please. What made you think you weren't straight...

I've done 1 on 1 and group tutoring with black students and I found them easier to deal with and more interested in success then white students in their age group. Most of them were recent immigrants from Haiti, so that could explain why That is indeed an explanation. What's peculiar is that Black ...

Eastern religion is absolutely fascinating and contains FAR more wisdom than Abrahamic religions ever did. Personally I'm drawn to Taoism, Confusionism as well as Shinto but especially to Hinduism (Advaita Vedanta in particular). Other influences are Wotanism, Shamanism, rationalist philosophers and...

I did go to a high school that had quite a number of black students. More so than any other school in the area. Probably because it was the city. While some black students I knew certainly were like this and wouldn't a crap about anything, most were not. Many knew of their challenging circumstances...

Well Mr. Salonfilosoof- I'm not going to task everyone else by re-quoting your whole Antisemitic mess you've posted. The antisemitic mess I posted? By no means did I ever suggest that the vast majority of Jews are bad people or that there is a global Jewish conspiracy the vast majority of Jews have...

You do the same, with your method of argumentation. I do not care if you are antisemitic and paranoid I'm not antisemitic nor paranoid. I just criticise Jewish culture for the same reasons most people criticise the Nazis : a strong sense of hostility towards outsiders and a tendency to harm outside...

When Inuyasha mentioned his personal experience about a single black student in high school, I instantly thought of an article I read by a high school teacher named Christopher Jackson. The article was called "What is it Like to Teach Black Students?" and describes the atmosphere in a typical high s...

It's really amazing adults can actually believe in a childish fantasy as simplistic and ridiculous as the concept called "heaven".

I did check a few quotes against a partial version of the Talmud I found on a Jewish site and those quotes seemed correct. Some parts of the Talmud are not available at all online, though, since many Jews believe the Talmud should not be translated, which of course makes it hard to verify quotes fr...

No, Luther didn't curse Jews on his death bed - he in fact had a returned to his sanity and asked that Jews be treated better, as he had in his earlier days. How do we know this? One of Luther's recent biographers has demonstrated that the old man in his later years began spouting all that bile aft...
