Parents are trying to raise kids into functioning adults, not get revenge on them for misbehaving. Parents sacrifice enough time and energy raising their children to deserve that they become functioning adults without causing much trouble. There's nothing wrong in showing your contempt to children ...

The brain is part of the body. So slower brain development, anxiety, obesity, arthritis and cardiovascular disease are part of the punishment. If you're strong-willed enough, you'll avoid the worst parts, so you get what you have coming. Where's the problem? did you miss the part about more likely ...

Population is not a issue in the US(or anywhere really for that matter), in Africa and Bangladesh maybe but there aren't enough people having kids where it isn't uncommon to have 10+ kids but in our country as we are now below replacement level. We want the birthrate in the US and Europe to go up a...

First, let's discuss the populace. The populace is rapidly growing at what I believe is an unsustainable rate. . The rate is steadily dropping on its own. http://www.multpl.com/us-population-growth-rate/table/by-year This year in the U.S. the population growth rate is 0.73% Last year it was 0.75% T...

Oh, I get it alright. There is a fellow there that is putting in a not unimpressive effort, of course still satirically, to present some sort of academic argument for their ideas. It is entertaining to see what he can muster up as a devil's advocate, in terms of scholarly support for "True Chr...

Okay, so I went over to the Landover Baptist Church forum, and the recent thread titles on basically every forum in it's index had me laughing already. And then I read a few posts and figured I would definitely have to sign up and poke some fun at these people. Wish me luck in getting banned. Serio...

The Millenials just got kafkatrapped . They were born into a U.S. society where racial discrimination is illegal (the first generation to be born into this, I think) yet there is still racial inequity. They can't work to fix the problem by overturning discriminatory laws as their parents and grandpa...

I can't stop. This is so fun. :P  :P Some of the images on the website still have the original addresses attached to them (which is how I found St. Patrick's, didn't even have to use google's image match). The image for "Pastor Patrick Murphy" who supposedly made the trek from Derry,...

Well... the "our church" section of this 15 minute wordpress copypasta blitzkrieg prominently features a photo of Saint Patrick's church, somewhere in Ireland. I don't think Vauxhall sells cars in Indiana, much less the other 49 states or Canada, nor do I think the church in the picture c...

I visited the website and it doesn't look like either a troll or an actual church but rather a parody, presumably of Westboro Baptist. As cberg noted, their supposed church is a known church in Ireland. Then there's the matter of their supposed location of Memphis,Indiana. One trip to google maps sh...

I have noticed something that a lot of people think is controversial. But I think I have noticed that there seem to be certain "subtypes" with different physical features. For example, I have seen a lot of aspies have a body type where they have a plump look with a large midsection and sh...

Number three: What you friend from India doesn't seem to grasp is that being an American in not incumbent on white skin, as we are proud of our mutt-dom; that is, we are proud that Americans are from everywhere in the world. So what if America stops being a majority white country? We're all America...
