That it is, a 3.0 or above in any engineering or science major is considered far more impressive than a 4.0 most other majors (I apologize in advance for any flame war this may cause.) I would say that, even in the sciences, some GPAs are worth more than others. There are ways of padding one's GPA,... |

Okay, wow, that was probably the worst interview I've ever had. Even including the ones I had during the two years after my B.S. degree, before I knew I had AS or had the amount of work/lab experience I do now. Basically the interviewer was intent on disliking me, to the point where it was so bad it... |

Undergrad: 3.31 with 196 credits required for my major (the highest of any major at OSU). Grad: 3.64 with 45 credits for my Masters. Both Chemical Engineering 3.34 GPA and I have taken 76 out of required 180 units. I want to get it above a 3.50 GPA though, but I don't know if it's realistic. I heard... |

I've been accepted to every college/university to which I've applied, even though it's a short list: Casper College, Oregon State University twice, and South Dakota School of Mines and Technology twice (once for their undergrad ChE program and once for their grad ChE program). I only went to CC to g... |

If you're interested in space flight, a good combination would be Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Materials Science (all about strength of materials, how to make quality composites, fracturing and degradation, etc.). |

I may be going to my reunion next year, just because by that time I'll be driving a Mercedes, whereas the guy that was the biggest douche to me teaches middle school wrestling. How's that for humerous, the guy that constantly called me a fag now makes a living teaching young boys to fondle each othe... |

#3 michael keaton is not physically fit at all in either of the two burton films, getting his ass kicked a lot, while in the comics bruce wayne is very physically fit and is kicking ass. Shortpacked made a great comic about that a few months back: http://www.shortpacked.com/comics/2011-02-02-raisea... |

Comics Alliance recently did a two-part review of the original Tim Burton Batman movie, and it's pretty obvious the two guys reviewing it (big comic book fans, obviously) felt it was atrocious. Part 1 Part 2 I remember liking it as a kid, but I recently rewatched part of it and couldn't help but agr... |

Given I'm already 6'3" and built like a rugby player, I'd probably end up looking like a pale Hulk. So no, probably not. |

My friends are all in shock, some of they're opinions are: hiding immaturity underneath a career crisis and a desire to go back to school; lack of motivation and challenge from my current job; some think it's too late for engineering (I would graduate 28 years old); some say do it. What do you thin... |

You are prejudiced in favor of classical theories. As far as I am concerned, ANY theory that predicts correctly and has not yet been empirically falsified is a winner. Nature is not obliged to present herself in such a way that man-scale concepts are the truth. Man-scale is a contingent way of unde... |

And booyah, a company that works with polymers in Portland wants me to come in for an on-site interview ASAP (they've been looking to fill the position since February).
I'd rather start working immediately after school than spend another two years unemployed like I did after my undergrad degree. |
