Alice Springs is one of the weirdest places I've ever been. It was like two realities were overlaid on the same physical space, but super tangible. The white people and the black people moving among each other but not interacting with each other, almost like they couldn't see the other. Complete abs... |

When I think of a God I can't get beyond the Teletubbies image of a giant baby observing us, wide-eyed and uncomprehending, just enjoying the shapes and sounds and movements. I don't think he knows, or cares, what nonsense goes on down here beyond its capacity to pacify and entertain. I think we're ... |

On something of a John Lurie deep dive atm. His music and paintings are both sublime imo. |

A couple of memories from when I was 2-3ish. My mum had a vegetable shop. I can remember sitting in the window with the potatoes being looked at by people passing. There was a little room out the back where I can remember being inside a cupboard (the first of many childhood cupboard memories). By ch... |

I don't know that there is 'a way'. But still, lots of ways. I think that it's always been much harder to find a relationship as an adult, simply because of the reduced amount of time you have to put into it, and greatly reduced number of free agents once you get beyond your 20s. That said, I think ... |

Okay, I bought it and I absolutely love it. I was truly put off by everyone saying how relentlessly hard it is and I'm a casual gamer at best, I've done BOTW master mode but the reputation these 'soulsborne' games have is intimidating and I don't have hours a day to play and 'git gud'. I'd been play... |

Never heard of a coin operated TV in the UK. I'm old enough to remember living in houses which had coin-operated electric and gas meters in them though. You'd be watching telly and all the electric would cut out, leaving you in the dark which made it much harder to find a coin to put in. We still ha... |

I always used to say that I didn't care about cars, as long as they got me where I wanted to be as cheaply as possible but that wasn't quite true. I take a sort of personal pride in driving crappy cars. I've never spent more than £1000 on a car in my life, I buy them cheap and drive them until the w... |

The entire soundtrack to this game was brilliant if you like dirty 70s funk. It came on a second disk that you could play in a normal CD player. So I did. Far more than I ever played the game. |

A deer jumped in front of my car today. I sat in the road with it as it died. There was traffic everywhere. Not a single person stopped. |

Maybe it's not humans that are the problem. We're just animals, like all the rest. Maybe the problem is consciousness. I mean the specific sort of consciousness that humans have, I know animals have a kind of consciousness but I'm going to use the word consciousness to mean human levels of conscious... |
