It's a paper in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders. I don't think the print edition is published yet. It's available online but only for a price unless you've got access to a university or something that subscribes to it. I should be able to access it through my university account. D... |

I would advice members of wrong planet to go work with HFA and autistic children/people in general and build an experiance on which to decide for yourself where the similarities lie. I should also point out that it was not too long ago that HFA was considered aspergers syndrome and although the term... |

Well by prefer I mean what kind of a label would better suit you in your opinion? See to me it just sounds like sloppy assessment wanting to give you an answer but then not having an exact fit as it were And I know there are cross overs in ADD/ADHD with aspergers I am going out with someone is ADHD ... |

Nice to hear I can understand what you are saying but my attitude is a diagnosis should not be a self fullfillying prophecy of your potential. From day one i was prophecised to never get as far as i have done today and I think clearly that has given me a rather biased view point on the matter but ei... |

What would better reflect you as people then? a multiple diagnosis? Or an entirely new diagnosis which is a hybrid of ADD/ADHD and aspergers syndrome? You see for me i find the whole multiple diagnosis phenomina an oddity particularly when you encounter people with multiple (talking 3+ here) diagnos... |

Well to be fair im rather skeptical of these multiple diagnosis in people anyway. The combo's ive come across don't make much sense to me Though it does seem sometimes what you get labelled with is purely down to what assessor you see Personally I see alot of similairites between Dyspraxics and Aspe... |

No, you're not the only one. I never knew what was going on with me, so I figured all my errors and stupid things were things I only had to work on and learn - and it actually did me a lot of good. A lot of expensive byways, as in, therapists without a clue, but setting myself to learn to function ... |

Ive lived in and around London for most of my life. I have developed quite a love/hate relationship with London now I live about 200 miles away from it there are things i certainly miss about such a large metropolis and things i certainly don't miss (the pollution and dirt for a start) I would say f... |

In adapting or coping with the big wide world out there. I was diagnosed nearly 15 years ago now, so at the age of 24 aspergers has been the majority of my life. But I seem to have gone from being very much a stereotypical aspie in my childhood and early teens to where i am now. Ive had help along t... |
