Ah yes, some of the insults directed against Percy and Bawldrick were rather well crafted.

In High School Physics we were learning about optical filters, this was after we had done stuff like the law of conservation of energy. So, Mr Harcourt shows us how white light shines into the red filter and only red light comes out. I asked him where the orange, yellow, green, blue and violet light...

This will probably mean nothing to WP members outside the UK but just for fun I've sat down and worked out all the soap operas my ex-wife watched. I may have missed one or two (memories fade) but the list is pretty complete: Brookside Casualty Coronation Street Eastenders Emmerdale Hollyoaks Home an...

Back off a bit. If she comes back to you then things are OK, if she doesn't then learn from your experience and move on.

Liking someone you could never have is OK providing you don't go crazy about it. My girlfriend's boss is married to someone who could stop traffic if she walked down a street and she has eyes that I could gaze into for hours. However, she's unavailable, so I shall just admire her from afar and be da...

I've got one, I wear it whenever I take visitors around our local synagogue but apart from that it stays in the car.

Not a hat person, I like the sun on my face.

I think I mentioned this in another message. As a kid I hated having my hair cut until my parents eventually found Mr Mogford who sang nursery rhymes to me as he cut my hair, I also got a small bag of sweets after he had finished. Now I just get a 4mm buzz cut every three months or so, much easier.

I got my bike licence years before I passed my car test. I rode a 500cc Honda but had a bad smash after which motorbikes kinda lost their appeal. PLEASE If you're going to buy a motorbike then also get a decent set of leathers and a full face helmet, you'll appreciate this advice the first time you ...

I used to get bullied at school and eventually my parents got fed up of the cuts, bruises and torn uniforms so they sent me to the local Martial Arts Dojo. A few weeks afterwards one kid picked on me and I nearly broke his arm, after that the bullying stopped. However, Grown men beating up eleven ye...

We used to visit my grandmother every Saturday when I was a kid and whilst the grown ups were talking I went down to a local electronics junk shop and spent my pocket money. I must have been under 11 because that was when I was sent away to boarding school.

Then go do something else when it's on. My ex-wife used to watch eight different soap operas on three different TV channels which meant that I spent a lot of time otherwise engaged. As for misfortune in soap operas there's nothing that could beat the UK epic 'Brookside', they had everything in that ...
