I spent twenty years working in the printing industry, originally the typesetters used Densi or Cora but eventually everything switched to Postscript and WYSIWYG screens. LaTeX makes me feel right at home.

Actors, Robert De Niro and Robin Williams, I've never seen a bad movie with either of those two in it.

Actresses, Sigourney Weaver for her acting ability and Marg Helgenberger for her looks.

Director - Michael Mann, I have every movie he's ever directed.

Favorite musical is 'Paint Your Wagon', with 'Fiddler on the Roof' a very close second. As for my favorite opera it takes a lot to beat Bizet's 'The Pearl Fishers'

This is something that has puzzled me for some time. Like you I have a very strong sense of morality and I can't understand these tales of people who commit crimes and then use their AS as an excuse.

"Depression is a state of mind caused by a sense of loss", well, that's the definition I was given by a psychiatrist a long time ago because he knew that I wanted to fight my depression using my intelligence and my ability to think. So, if you're feeling depressed then one way to keep it under contr...

Stuff like this happens. I've had a girlfriend who decided to drive me crazy "because it seemed like fun" and a wife who decided that bullying me and insulting me was the best way to turn me from an aspie into an NT. I still haven't lost my faith in the fairer sex though because there are good times...

An old joke, what's the difference between a psychiatrist, a psychologist and a psychotic?

Psychologists build castles in the air, psychotics live in them and psychiatrists collect the rent :D

This is what happens when you have a psychiatrist with a sense of humor.

Add me to the list of people who finds handshaking weird, especially weird when you meet this person on a regular basis. I can understand a handshake when meeting someone for the first time but in Eastern Europe you might find yourself shaking someone's hand once a day, every day as they come in thr...

1) Hide the controllers for the Playstation until he gets off his ass. 2) No job hunting - no sex  Lots of people have some time off after graduation including me but the idea here is to broaden the mind rather than waste time in front of a TV playing games. Your boyfriend therefore needs a lar...

Define 'success' Here's one theory I heard. Apollo 11 was a media spectacular and a large chunk of the world was watching. Apollo 12 started off OK but once the American public discovered that it would be more of the same they switched off in their thousands. So, NASA decided to do something on Apol...

Wrong car, yes, wrong office, once, but never the wrong apartment.

Then again I once drove into town and took the bus back. I only realized that something was wrong when I got back home and the car wasn't parked outside.
