Bella? Are you alright? You've posted only twice so far. I hope you have a supportive group of friends and relatives. But the first thing you should do is see a doctor, if only to get tested. Well, the EPT kits at the store are accurate, but they won't give medical advice, or hold your hand when you...

The first sentence of the OP is 100% Correct. There is competition for mates just like there is competition for jobs. This is how the game is played when people have the freedom to choose their partners. I said it before and I'll say it again...... It is not enough to succeed, others must FAIL . I ...

I had the opportunity to spend this morning with a large group of friends in a public venue, but here I am posting on WP instead, which is well within my comfort zone for social contact.

Asper-typical behavior, nu?

I will certainly try to talk someone out of a suicide attempt, but when it becomes obvious that their threats are more cries for attention than help, I am temped to tell them, "Just do it, then." Same here (except for the "telling them to just do it" part), I had an online friend who would talk abo...

That's when I decided to take acting lessons. Now people "read" in my body language only what I want them to. That sounds like a good plan if your body can afford as much... Have you considered getting involved in local civic theatre? Many hold free workshops for aspiring actors. Some municipalitie...

Fnord, I can definitely understand your concern, especially if you have been burned in the past. What were some of your experiences of 'being burned'. Have you had NT's lurk around the forum for a while, just to take advantage of people in terms of pushing their products, etc? No thank you. I may h...

I suppose that if you're not posting to "... promote a website, group or product..." then I have no complaint to make. In the past, there have been NTs who seemingly presumed to have answers to our Asper problems, when in fact they had no particular expertise in any field even remotely related to AS...

I've been called a robot for not having any readable body language. Being unreadable seems to inspire anxiety in many NT women. One described me as behaving like "Pinhead" from the Hellraiser series. That's when I decided to take acting lessons. Now people "read" in my body language only what I want...

Elijah Baley from "Caves of Steel" by Isaac Asimov.

A man who must work with people he despises to solve problems.

Fnord, why don't you give the guy a break. I don't think you have sufficient evidence to justify your conclusions. Not too many people in that line of work would even consider asking aspies about aspergers.

I have no conclusions, only suspicions.

I'd just like for him to state his intentions.

My relatives used to put me down for being somewhat dependent on them for day-to-day living. Now that I'm fully independent of them, they bag on me for being "uppity."

It seems that those who organise multi-level marketing scams prey on two types of people: 1. Cheerful, outgoing, and charismatic people (mostly NTs). 2. Socially inept, gullible, and easily-intimidated people (mostly Aspers or similar types). The former are used to draw the latter into the scam, whi...

Will there be monetary compensation for our consultations? I am already a licensed counselor, so I do get compensation for my services. However, I want to offer some free information (reports, e-books, short courses), and there will also be products that need to be purchased. Ah- HAH ! So, have you...
