Congratulations! I got an unofficial diagnosis of autism from a professional but have since concluded that I'm transgender with strong components of autism. I can easily socialize when presenting as female! When I try to present as male something just isn't right with how I communicate. I look too f...

Give him time and a safe place to develop his skills by himself. Maybe ask him what he would like to do or learn about. Start him off very simple and don't worry if it takes time him to figure it out. But, if he can do something, arrange to let him do more if you can afford it. Many things are cheap...

I cook single portion meals. I buy meat in bulk and measure it on a digital kitchen scale. Then I put the individual portions in zip lock sandwich bags. A single thin layer works best for fast thawing and evenly coating a marinade. By cooking the same thing over and over again I get better at cookin...

I find I am light enough on my feet to go grocery shopping wearing 2inch wedges.
At home I'll wear 4 inch heels, but haven't gone out anywhere with heels that high.

I knew someone who did that. He started out as an apprentice while he was still going to high school, learning from and older lady who had been on the job for many years. He quickly acquired AutoCAD skills and they worked together for a few decades before she retire.

Been there, done that.
Was an ALS caregiver while juggling a full time job.
Took long lunch hours to get her out of bed and feed her for a couple of months before she passed.
She preferred I do what I could rather than seeking outside help.

I figured out that I'm more transgender than autistic!
I am much more outgoing presenting female as communicating is so much easier!

I'm 5' 2" 106 lbs with an obscenely thin waist for my age.
I wear high heels or shoes with flower patterns.
I like summer because I can wear skirts and crop tops!

You may learn some things on this forum to reduce the stress of being autistic in a neurotypical world. For instance, many here have issues with loud noises at movies and concerts. I bought high fidelity earphones used by musicians to protect their hearing. An expensive diagnosis is unlikely to be o...

Basic body language is sort of like a friend or foe interrogation used by the military. I see you and acknowledge you, carry on. It may be over in an instant. Flirting is checking to see if someone thinks your "hot" or "their type." Sort of like fishing in which you try out diffe...

Yes, if you haven't had it or been exposed, I think it is a good idea to get the 2 shot sequence, particularly if they say it works on the strain going around. They missed a little last time. Plus my exposure to diseased people is very low. I'll shop on a timer if disease is going around. I'll zip i...
