The year, 1984, has since passed, but 1984 and what the book warns against will always be a potential future. |

It's ironic that so many political conservatives are natalists, while also desperately fighting to make it harder for regular people to be able to afford to reproduce. Texasmoneyman hit the nail on the head. White Nick Cannon (Elon) isn't going to solve this problem either. Gee, I guess that's why ... |

The Forest Hills.
A homicidal, severely mentally ill man alternately believes he's a werewolf, or that he's being stalked by a werewolf. Interesting premise, but over acted and almost zero budget. Shelley DuVall's (spelling?) last movie. |

Sea Fever.
A fishing boat goes off course, and finds themselves stalked by a sea monster bent on infecting the crew with its eggs. Very Lovecraftian. |

^^^ Funny thing about authoritarian governments and the courts is... said governments couldn't care less what the courts have to say, and eventually eliminate them. And it's obvious the Trump regime is heading in that direction, full speed. |

No Country For Old Men, by Cormac McCarthy.
One of my birthday presents. So far, I've found the movie was very, very loyal to the source material. I've found McCarthy's style had become very minimalist with this and later books, as compared to his earlier work, like Blood Meridian. |
