Is he the first celebrity with Asperger's to actually acknowledge it in such a public fashion? Actress Darryl Hannah recently came out http://www.forbes.com/sites/emilywillingham/2013/09/29/wall-street-actress-daryl-hannah-also-autistic-woman/ Dan Aykroyd has talked about it [youtube]http://www.you...

Agree because of the stated above and youtube etc nothing will die out. I can see in the 2050's dubstep reunion tours and neo dubstep. A more interesting can anything really new be born?

I would definitely much rather be NT. An entire world with people as socially awkward as me would not be a good thing at all. We're no more oblivious or indifferent to things like that than NTs are. But would I be socially awkward if I understood most peoples social signals because they would be li...

I don't know you so I can only generalize. An aspie trait is having "special interests". The difference between special interests and hobbys is that special interests do crowd out other activities. In the days and months following diagnoses many have Aspergers become a special interest because so mu...

You became bodybuilder to compensate. Is it possible you became the "class clown" consciously or subconsciously as a way of compensating for some social problem? You may not know or remember why you did that as you were pretty young. Aspies often do not know that they are strange or annoying to othe...

I have had people telling me to be more social, trying to set up social "situations" for me, making "helpful" suggestions my entire life. Unless I really want or need to go the my answer is always the same a quiet but firm "NO". In your case if you refuse the bully might get worse for a time, maybe ...

You don't know that for sure. I'd also say that any meetup of people with an ASD would be just a whole heap of people lecturing one another and/or not interacting. My very limited experience has been the opposite but they were SUPPORT groups. The end of these meetings have ended with some members o...

I do on internet a lot but that does not count because there are no consequences. I am 5 foot 4 inches meaning I am shorter the 90% of other guys so there can be serious consequences. Also being in the USA you do not know if the other person is armed. So I will try and walk away or take if I can't g...

Similar. However my "masking" efforts can fail when I am bored with the conversation or tired Yeah, so do mine. There's a limit to how much I can handle. If I have to spend a lot of time (say, more than an average work day) conforming to general society, I'll not only fail to mask this tendency to ...

I definitely have this tendency. I'll just zone out, eyes going out of focus and my mind going kind of zen. I usually work hard to suppress it as part of masking my autism around mere mortals, but when I'm by myself I do it quite a lot. Similar. However my "masking" efforts can fail when I am bored...

If the world was more like me it would be a hell of a lot quieter and less violent. Population growth would not be an issue.

If I was more neurotypical I would meet more interesting people. But overall I vote for the world being more like me.
