Common psychologists don't normally know much about AS. You'll probably want to see a neuropsychologist. Even then their knowledge is often limited to what they read in the diagnosis manual, which is mostly assumptions based on what some NTs (neurotypicals = non-autistic persons) saw from the outsid...

If you're good with body language and stuff, it doesn't sound like AS to me. Sounds more like a narcissist or a sociopath, or maybe schizoid personality. (many things can be mistaken for AS) Correction, looking at some of your other posts, you can admit to shortcomings so you're no narcissist. You d...

What part of intelligence are Aspies good at? (In a general way, without saying everybody is different). The definition for AS includes a requirement for an IQ above 100, otherwise it's usually diagnosed as classic autism instead. So really, if AS is defined as "autistic persons who aren't dumb", i...

I see alot of Aspies on this forum say that they are creative. Can Aspies be creative? I remember my psy telling me that Aspies are not creative, they copy paste everything in their head', she also told 'Autists will never create something unique or revolutionair that can be called original or uniq...

One study conducted of women's personal ads support the existence of this preference; the study found that in ads requesting height in a mate, 80 percent requested a height of 6 feet or taller. However, this percentage was only of ads specifying height, and therefore possibly self-selected and/or b...

As a test, go camping. Being wet, cold, hungry and miserable makes a lot of the mental stuff come right out.

If it's somehow your fault that it rains, and that there's mosquitoes, and so on... you know who you're dealing with.

He sounds like alot of things but not homophobic hes just not attracted to men, nothing wrong with that atleast we have something in common. The term "That's not how i roll" was originally created as a way to joke about or lower the lgbt community. Look it up. And so when people use that phrase no ...

Just an observation from this forum... but does it seem the greater the level of anger and hatred for the opposite gender, that there is a corresponding decrease in the level of success in finding and/or maintaining relationships? My observation is that it goes the other way. People (of either gend...

MJackson, you sound upset. Is there a particular situation that caused this? IMO, the real reason we put up with each other is because we're descended from people crazy enough to put up with each other long enough to have us. Therefore we have (mostly) the same genetic and cultural programming as ou...

Auditory Sensitivity

I got some earmuffs like they use with jackhammers. Peltor Optime 101. It cuts out most of the minor sounds and dulls the major ones like voices, industrial noise, etc. That was the best spent $20 ever.

A few ways to repel men: - Use the word "misogynist" in every sentence - Get really thin, fat or musclebound (physical extremes) - Look REALLY hot (intimidating! so afraid to screw up, they forget to ask) - Pretend you're psychotic (and maybe ax crazy) - Talk about marriage. Before the first date. ...

You are completly missing the point, Puritanism is not what I was talking about, hence my refrences to 10,000years ago, and of course re Egypt, they where not Montheistic except for a few blips in their history involving Ra and various Pharohs, and then the subsequent Roman influence. Medieval and ...
