I picked up 65 black walnuts yesterday. It took like 2 hours to get 32 hulled, oooh boy. Hope it's worth my time. I also got a bunch of rose hips. The bigger ones I tried picking at the beach went bad too quickly, but these smaller ones that are less rotund shaped seem better. My Asian market has go...

For those concerned about using the Earth's resources or taking up too much land bear in mind organic food uses twice as much land. It's just a rejection of the innovations in farming from the last one hundred years. No problem for your veggie patch but not good for commercial scale agriculture. Sc...

The other thing I may add is don't make your diet your religion. People tend to do this with diets that aren't mainstream, to the point it becomes basically it's own cult with no dissenting thought left. This happens with veganism, low carb, Paleo, etc. People believe their diet is "the way" for eve...

My main opinion on starting any sort of new diet is this. Don't put yourself on the highway to hell. If you're vegan and legitimately feel good on it, then that's wonderful. However, if you feel like crap, don't chalk it up to "detoxing" or your body needing to get used to it, etc. Obviously the fir...

I know a moderate-severe calorie restriction diet without stopping to eat altogether can do wonders, plus exercising to keep your metabolysm up and avoid losing muscle instead of fat. But the diet requires a high amount of willpower, and when you reach your target weight you'd have to eat less than...

For me summers lots of times are worse. My favorite season is actually fall. The temperatures are just perfect for me. For winter the main problem for me is just staying inside. I find I'm automatically less depressed if I can just go for an hour walk or something everyday. So summer is too hot and ...

There's worse things you could do with your time. I'd say it's better to look at things from the perspective of building strength, as it's a bit more linear and controllable than building muscle. With strength building, your results are easily quantifiable by more weight on the barbell, or if traini...

She got the opportunity to see that you were a nice, caring person inside - great. Yea, but god help that stupid c**t if I catch her ...

Body mass index is a joke, and is useless & meaningless. Why? Because mine is 35, but I have 4.8% body fat, and have a leaner, more fit body at age 46, than an olympic track competitor could dream of at age 19 8O (proven by displacement of water at the Cooper Fitness Institute in Dallas). BMI i...

So I picked a bunch of rose hips at the beach today. Besides removing the seeds and washing them, if I wanted to make a pie, is it a standard around 2-3 cups of fruit, 1 cup sugar/etc, kinda thing? I've not found any rosehip pie recipes online. Also, my neighbor has a che fruit tree, my neighbor rig...

If you don't do well at parties and meeting people, find a position to put yourself in that means you meet and talk with everyone for a short while and then can move on - like being the DJ, photographer or bartender for the night (especially for house parties). The people who genuinely like you wil...

I kinda like Starbucks more now. In all honesty, Starbucks has gotten to be much more realistic and better of an option for coffee since Dunkin Donut decided to raise all it's prices to absurd levels. I believe coffee, and even fancy schmancy drinks, are now cheaper at Starbucks and better quality.

It's a joke for sure, but for me it's probably reasonably accurate. I'm like 5'8" or 5'9" and 185-ish, and 28-30 BMI seems appropriate. I just made a guess on the survey based on people I've seen at psych clinics at work, so if I somehow jacked up the survey my bad  Yeah, it's accurate as a ge...
