My sister can assumably "pass for NT" but she was very rigid growing up. She was not "born" with the type of pervasive issues that I seemed to have..She looked "normal"..was able to dress and act normally enough to assimilate with other kids and also my "more NT" cousins...Often I would make friends...

Hilarious...isn't it? I am rather fearful of bringing up my AS assessment with my ADD doc after having now seen him for 2 years. Fearful that a. he will be dismissive of it or b. think that I misrepresented myself and want me to do some battery of tests and reassign my medication. I take stim...

He is squeamish even if I kiss him on the cheek....Either he has serious sensory issues, or I am a horrible kisser... :( I don't think it's possible to be a horrible cheek kisser. I know how you feel, in a way. My daughter will only let me kiss her on the top of her head (the hair makes a nice barr...

My grandfather wasted reels of film retaking and retaking our exemplary "posed family shots" because I had a problem with smiling and would spazz out at the flash. i was reprimanded over and over again for not smiling correctly....I took TERRIBLE school pics every year. I am good at taking pictures ...

I think that very many "NT"s are quite FREAKISHLY weird to me...... (I did not tie shoes till age 8..off key reference to above thread)....I still drank out of a bottle, mostly out of preference till age 7.....I was having self-care issues all the way into high school...which could possibly exclude ...

I am 36 now. Female. I have been ASSESSED as having "Asperger's" at a center for autistic adults and children. The woman who assessed me said she had done hundreds of assessments and was quite confident that I was an aspie, and that there would be no need for me to spend a few thousand dollars and t...

I was a freshman,...

I like kissing when there is emotion behind it. It is an emotional thing that transcends the potential sensory unpleasantness when with someone I feel "connected" to...Just as sex and "mere touching" can cause me a lot of sensory discomfort, or at best, pure emptiness... if I do not feel right with ...

It is slightly more obvious in my profile pic that my eyes seem somewhat displaced and actually my left eye seems somewhat bigger than my right eye....but it is just an "optical illusion" :P Yes this is true, I notice that your left eye is a bit bigger. Why do you think this is an optical illution?...

I have strong traits of both. I envy folk on the spectrum who do not have ADD symptoms. I was assessed as having Asperger's at a center for autistic adults and children. I had another shrink who refused to believe that I had ADD and was more willing to accept my Asperger's assessment, but jotted me ...

My eyes are the same size, but fhey are uneven in the placement of the Irises...Tried to demonstrate in this pic, but not terribly obvious, possibly because I was focusing on a fixed point. I am also Left Handed and My right eye is dominant..i can scarcely see out of my left eye in fact.. http://a7....
