I don't know if I have Asperger's or not but I really relate to what you said. People seem to just have issues with me no matter what I do. Growing up people were always trying to label me and/or fix me in some way. And living in a really backwards rural area, I was surrounded by people who obviousl...

I tend to walk fast. People have told me I walk like I am angry. If I don't walk fast, I tend to stagger and lose balance. I run into things a lot, either way. I have terrible posture. I try to hold myself up but it feels like hard work. After going to a chiropractor and seeing x-rays of my spine, I...

Most of the time I try to just blend in, because I want to be left alone. I don't want to draw a lot of attention to myself. So I will only resist a convention or an expected behavior if I think it will get people to leave me alone. For instance I've learned to do all the "hello how are you" stuff a...

I have no idea but it would be very interesting to know. It's something I've wondered about.

Yes I have a lot of trouble saying no, and I've gotten into some really bad situations because of it. People have told me I am very agreeable, which kind of turns my stomach because I know that's a clue they are probably a bad person for me to be around. I have trouble even finding the right place i...

I have a sales job and I am constantly trying to hide my inability to recognize people. If I really make a "connection" with someone (and I am not sure what qualifies it as being a connection, I just know I get a different sense about the person) then I will mostly likely remember who they are from ...

I guess NT's get offended because they are not very logical. They don't interpret comments in a logical way, they just react emotionally. With some people it's like they are just looking for something to get offended by, and it doesn't really matter what you say. They will just automatically take it...

Other people can't change who you are deep down but they can get you to change the way you act on the outside, to try to evade their criticisms, to the point that you forget who you really are inside. I've been thinking lately about how different my life would have been if I hadn't let other people'...

I've always been baffled by things other people are offended by. It's bewildering. Not just things I say but even just the look on my face, when I wouldn't even be aware I had any particular look on my face. And yeah it's something about the way you say things, rather than the actual words, because ...

I'm female, age 33, was diagnosed at 18 with ADHD. I've always felt I had a lot of autistic traits too. I've been reading a lot here the last several days and I'm amazed how much of it sounds like me. I am wondering if I have AS too but I'm not sure. Either way I'm not planning to get a diagnosis, I...
