Slept in very late after a a loved one's birthday party yesterday for which I had to do a lot of shopping, food preparation and socialising. Very late starts to a day throw me a bit off balance, out of synch. I did go to a cafe and had one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had in any country. W...

Sounds like farmer-driven "research finds" propaganda. There will always be fringe sell-out scientists who take the money and tell the lies, but they are very tiny in number. For the record: Researchers at the University of Oxford found in 2018 that cutting meat and dairy products from you...

Tony Attwood was the person who guided me here to WP.

Have you read much about AS men and women?

If yes, were writers AS or NT?

OP, there is a wise saying: "When you know better, you do better". Wisdom accumulates over time if you are willing to absorb it. (Some seem to never develop beyond what they knew and believed as young adults, but they are relatively few in number). My own most significant achievements peak...

My grandson has residency in the USA because his career path in basketball is to play at a higher level than available in NZ. Basketball isn't a mainstream sport here, (the number one sport is rugby). He doesn't plan to immigrate to the USA though in years to come, he is considering playing in Europ...

It might help if you were more clear about what area and country he lives in. WA means Western Australia to me, and lack of specific information can cause confusion in international forums.

I'm lobbying for A SHARE of the funded provision of services designed for people with ASC issues from the organisations who already receive Government funds to serve specific populations, in this case the aged (Age Concern) and the AS populations, (Autism NZ) for those who fall into both categories....

Tiana, as you may be aware, bullying of AS people by NT people is a massive issue that causes great harm. An example: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-51475739 Have you ever joined in the bullying? Have you ever seen it and just walked away? (ie bystander apathy) Have you ever been proactive in c...

That reminds me of my son - a bit of an off topic story, but anyhow.. When he was a teenager about your age, I was incredibly stretched - flying around the country to speak at conferences, present submissions to parliament, planning sessions with policy makers, and support work which involved receiv...

The breakthrough can occur when we find one of our own "tribes". Some have found theirs in an academic speciality, some in the Silicon Valley setting, some in developing a talent like acting. It's not restricted to those examples. I hope you will find your way to your tribe or tribes, wher...

I agree, it is a thankless task; fortunately I am not motivated by the unlikely prospect of thanks! I do it because its my perception that it needs to be done, and I have the time, and the ability, to do it. It's better for my own wellbeing than doing nothing, so perhaps it is actually also selfish.

I would be interested in how you view practical jokes, played to humiliate the targeted person for the amusement of others. It is something I have seen NTs do, and your perspective on it and why it is amusing to them would be appreciated.
