Take away other people and you take away our social problems. It's why I start to freak if I don't get enough time to myself. At first I too was fustrated because I thought I had forgotten how to "act naturally" around people. It turns out that, for me, "acting naturally" just means ignoring them mo...

I don't usually mind it if women don't shave.

That said I trim even my leg hair. It traps scent and is a pain to wash. And it feels horrible when it gets sweaty.

Just kind of all around gross. But I only speak for myself.

Since we do tend to think differently naturally our religious beliefs may be a bit different. I am a christian but i do have other spiritual beliefs as well. I have always believed that all the different gods are the same god, and all religions are different ways he wanted us to live. see in the ch...

The military tends to be on the bleeding edge of things, then their innovations trickle into the civillian world . Actually not. Much of our best technology is too fragile for the battle field. The military chooses technology that is "Army Strong". ruveuyn Mass military tech (Infantry) is designed ...

Ok, the whole psychologist thing is a new type of situation for me and I don't really understand the rules for it. So I was hoping people could tell me if this was normal or if I reacted poorly or if I'm being scammed. Ok, so a month ago I go in for the neuropsych eval. They asked me about my histor...

From the sound of it, it's not a conclusive test for ASD's. They can find one of the genetic markers, yes, but their test shouldn't be in any way conclusive just from that. It's more of a "this child is at risk for ASD" than any kind of a proof.

Honestly, I think that kind of talk-therapy works because of that ‘empathy’ thing. I didn’t do well in my counseling classes, but I remember an entire lecture devoted to how you need to show ‘empathy’ to your clients without actually getting emotionally involved (what I would call ‘sympathy’). The p...

You're appealing to 'mysteries' and such that you are 'bound by oath not to disclose' it seems. Which bugs me, I admit, as you can't really have a conversation about something witho...

This is true of all paths of Wicca, not just Gardinarian. Neo-wicca are soft-polytheists , however Wicca are firmly hard-polytheists. There's no such thing as 'self-proclaimed' Wicca, it's like saying some random guy on the street calling himself a Catholic Priest should have a say on what the Cath...

Sorry, but you don't seem to understand this. You don't believe in the gods that Wicca follow, therefore you do not believe in their idea of the 'the element of spirit' - Wicca also don't quite believe that 'the earth is our mother'. As I say, there's no reason for you to have latched onto their pr...

Pursuing a diagnosis myself now at 30. I decided to initiate this testing because I think my son has it and was mis-diagnosed. It seems likely that I could have that fixed if I could demonstrate a clear genetic propensity for it. Anyway, a side affect of admitting to myself that I have this thing is...
