Aspergers ADHD PTSD I'm pretty high functioning in regards to my aspergers, but I had a lot of good early intervention since I was diagnosed when I was 7 or 8. The ADHD was also diagnosed back then, and isn't really much of a problem with medication. I developed PTSD after years of bone breaking abu...

I am the opposite. People have often remarked on how their pet who usually hates strangers likes me right off the bat. I think the trick is to let them approach you, rather than approaching them. I also feel like I'm pretty good at reading their intent and behavior, at least with cats and dogs. Did ...

What's lucid dreaming and why? lucid dreaming is the ability to have waking consciousness in a dream and, therefore, the ability to consciously direct one's actions in a dream. it is a comparatively rare talent associated with spiritual evolvement. I didn't realize it was rare, but then I didn't ta...

I have considered it, but it's pretty costly to have a good, high quality vegan diet in Alaska.

I definitely think having children is viewed as a "credential" for adulthood.

I say this as someone who is physically incapable of having children, who spent years working in elementary schools. It's like a milestone of maturity.

I'm in Anchorage and have lived here many years, but I'll be honest: I don't meet people IRL who I met online, anymore. No offense. Got burned way too hard doing that. Do you have special interests or fields of expertise? Perhaps doing things that have to do with that could help. Most of my friends ...

I do see it as murder, but I also have nothing against abortion. Better for both parties tbh.

Fortunately I don't remember my dreams very often. Weirdest one so far IIRC: I was smoking weed with Obama and Biden, they were both wearing aviators, we were just talking about stuff, they both were acting too cool for school. Biden gave me a rocket launcher, then I realized I was probably dreaming...

I've only ever had very positive interactions with local police and state troopers here.

I do think that Alaskan cops are very high quality, though.

I have dead special interests and live ones. Nothing wrong with it as long as you're not harming yourself. I still have loads of info stored in my brain from them, and every now and then it comes in very handy. Endocrinology is one of my weirder ones, but was sparked through personal experience in h...

You should see some of the things I said in online spaces when not in a fully sound state of mind, among NTs, in places devoted to topics that had nothing to do with mental state. I did stay on topic  but I went waaaaayyyy out there and definitely wouldn't normally say those things. It was noth...

Being on the spectrum was easier to accept, for me. That being said, I did find out I was on the spectrum when I was in 2nd grade. Being diagnosed with PTSD happened much later in life, but I certainly wasn't surprised by it. Sort of relieving to find others in the same boat and get treatment. My se...
