It's apparent that making this thread was a waste. Why? :? There's only so much people can describe a feeling for you. The best way to know what a hug feels like is to experience one. Go hug someone/get a hug, then you'll know for yourself. I got & gave a lot of hugs on Christmas eve and day. S... |

This is utterly and completely ridiculous. Listen to the presentation. It's not focused AT ALL on the 50% ASD babies by 2025 statement. It's focused on the biochemical causes of the gut-brain issues that create the perfect storm for ASD symptoms via the cumulative compound effect of toxins, pathoge... |

Oh for the love of, it's not always the goddamn gut bacteria that determines if someone is on the spectrum. Plus, this woman is a computer scientist, what does she know about Autism? That's like me knowing about farming when I'm a tech guy. This reminds me of how people say how many things give you... |

Speech from Dr. Seneff about all of these things. http://earthweareone.com/mit-researcher ... c-by-2025/ I just listened to her speech while reading the forums and news. There's an awful lot of good info in it about the various chemicals that affect gut bacteria & brain function. Yes, there's al... |

I hope I can hold down a job one day. The ASD helps me to understand myself better. But - let's face it - there probably isn't a huge market for depressed, autistic 40-somethings who haven't had a job for about 20 years. I'll wait and see how getting a place of my own goes first of all (I'm getting... |

I use slang, but I definitely have the ASD traits of having a formal vocabulary and articulate speech. Sometimes people ask me what my parents do for a living as they're expecting to hear doctor/lawyer/engineer/accountant etc - some sort of professional job - all due to the way I speak. It's rarely ... |

Currently employed and have declined a couple other job offers.. also have an open ended job offer should I ever want a change. I didn't used to have this going for me. I used to have a pretty spotty work history and long stretches of unemployment, but since I've gotten myself way healthier & ha... |

Hug FYI's: The hedgiest person I know is also on the spectrum. He hugs his family, friends, coworkers, regular customers at work etc. He once told me that I give the best hugs. I take that as a huge compliment seeing as he's a very very experienced hug giver/receiver. So, there you have it, if you w... |

Not me, but my cousin has one of the strangest ones I've ever heard of… she has a phobia of midgets. Seriously. She gets a little freaked out when she sees a little person in public and it makes me LOL. |

Just roll with it and believe that everything happens for a reason. One of my "special interests" over the years has been learning to kiteboard. I was very very into it at first, then due to financial & health constraints I shelved my gear for several years.. I was still interested in ... |

Hugs feel great! I got so many hugs from so many wonderful people in my life over the last couple days. 8) Apparently they feel good to NTs? I don't get it. What's it like? I would like to be enlightened as to what NT is short for? NeuroTypical, as in "normal" brained people who are not on... |

I got tired so another bonfire tonight. Awesome! 8) Christmas eve was dinner & gifts w/ my high schoo... |

I don't play video games and with the exception of a bit of entertainment here or there I basically view them as a waste of time. I have healthier interests.. like my health, for instance. Nutrition, exercise/workouts/running kiteboarding etc. Reading, learning, investing etc etc, family, friends.. ... |

During the Holidays I would like to lock myself in my bedroom and not come out until January 2nd. Does anyone else on the Spectrum experience this reaction? 1.) I dislike gift giving, only seem to think of things that a purposeful. Like blankets, socks, gift cards. 2.) I don't understand the whole ... |
